These med students know a good practical joke, but their timing is atrocious. They could at least have interrupted the aria. That sloven excuse for a soprano might have fainted. Timing people. When you perform, your timing must not be subtle. The audience is too dumb otherwise to notice." Lucien Alphonse turned, hoping someone else in the cast would know how to ameliorate this poorly executed disaster.

Alexia screams out in horror, then rushes over to the body. Joseph!! she falls to her knees beside the dead man, and lifts him up and onto her lap. Nonononono! Please don't die on me, Joseph. she caresses his hair, trying to will him to life. I didn't mean to dit on your Banjo. I swear, I'll buy you another. Even if it costs me $1,985.

"I don't know, these idiot actors, wandering around and falling off things, why can't they think about others when they drop forty feet onto the stage? Oh, of course it seems like a right lark, but who has to clean up their guts and mangled remains afterwards, hmm? Poor old Banjo, that's who. I'll go and get my mop. I call her Lex-kat, after Lex Luther and Kat from Eastenders...we don't see eye to eye. Well, my mop has no eyes, but you get what I mean."

Banjo the stagehand wanders off backstage to fetch his mop and bucket, grumbling as he goes.

The opera cat, as he thought of himself, strolled away over the rafters. The humans were making rather a lot of silly fuss about one of them falling down. It's not like he'd done anything exciting, anyway. But it did seem likely to distract them from dinnertime, so rather than hang about, the cat went off to investigate if it could catch a Duck - one of the 999 left after his last hunting expedition.

Till scowls slightly at the rhyming of 'opera' with 'drop' and 'cops'.

Then Alexia starts screaming and Banjo the stagehand starts shouting and carrying on.

If anyone in the crowd were not aware that wasn't an act, I'm sure they are now. What a complete disaster!

Shaking his head, Till strolls off in search of someone who could lower the curtains.

Strolling out of the theatre, avoiding the Rain, the opera cat took a brief moment to pose, fancying himself some kind of Dragon, before strolling on.

Quincy Milton stroked his graying beard thoughtfully. Why would anyone want Joey Flowers dead? He cast his faded blue eyes around the room, searching for guilt in the faces of the actors. Quincy searched the eyes of the stagehand as Banjo grumpily mopped the floor of Flower's blood.

"Trying to wash away the evidence, eh? Well you'd have to wake up pretty early in the morning to sneak one past old Quincy 'Eagle Ears' Milton!"

Okay, it's looking like I'm getting lynched today, for want of a better lynch. Thing is, I'm actually a mason (they're trying out police cats - very experimental, very hush-hush). I realize there's no way to verify this, so I fully expect to get lynched regardless today - but rather than die in vain, I'd like to leave behind me a way for my fellow officer or officers to verify themselves to you fine folks. I spent a while wracking my brains in an effort to work out how to do that, and finally came to the conclusion that the best way was to establish a quicktopic and pass the link to my partner or partners, leaving a message on it verifying my identity. So I've done that, and you can confirm that if and when someone uses that to get in touch by examining the timestamp on the verification post there - it ought to be before this post went up by about, er, two minutes or so (mind your timezones!). So yeah, carry on lynching me, folks, but know that I do not die without purpose.

I'm rather skeptical of this claim. It says the masons know each other in the opening post; I take that to mean that you were given a list of the other masons at the start of the game. As such, it seems difficult to believe that there would be "no way to verify" that you are or are not a mason.

You can't tell the difference between a mason being backed up by a mason buddy and a wolf being backed up by a wolf buddy.

I'm a comparative newcomer here. I don't really know how to play, so I'm doing my best. I don't think I can prevent myself from getting lynched, and I don't think it would be in village's best interests for my friend or friends on the force to be revealed at this point anyway. So I'm making this claim expecting to die, and getting some minimal utility out of it, because I see no better play.

Eh, what's with this reaction? Mason claim means switch your points off him immediately.

If he is not a Mason, a real Mason will counterclaim him and then we lynch him. A trade of wolf for mason is a very good one for us.

Rain Dragon seems to be the second-closest in votes.

For the enlightenment of a newcomer - can you elaborate on this, please? Classic is the longest-running set of games here, and each game is itself long. I wouldn't know what to begin looking for besides 'mason claims'. Someone care to explain?

The director sighs, what a mess. Why do things have to go so wrong? Okay, sure there were some strange things, but nothing like this before the new managers came. Their change in policies are going to be the source of trouble.

The specific one going on right now. Two (maybe?) villagers claimed mason, forced an (actual?) mason out in the open, and the general consensus is "two wolves wouldn't claim mason."

If two wolves claim mason, what happens is a real, counterclaiming Mason is lynched, then the wolves are lynched. A worthy trade.

If two villagers claim mason, what is this I don't even.

No, its not really your fault. I should have checked this thread again before the deadline. A claimed mason is always grounds for a vote change.

@Murska- askthepizzaguy is a frenetic player prone to complex schemes and gambits. Actually, I would be very curious about your opinion of the early day events of the game after I'm eliminated/game ended.
