AMEN XLVII: Who's the Leader, Again?

Main Room - Sargon

Sargon stares down at El Cuervo. "I wasn't informed that there was a particular magic you needed to remain alive. But legion-craft can be used for more than just arms. You could shape it into a breastplate or a helmet if you so desire. It's very adaptable." Sargon argues. "Of course, if you still don't want it, you must say so right now. Attuning the item binds it to your very soul, only you will be able to use it until the moment you die, so it would be a complete waste of material and effort if you don't use it. Any of my soldiers would be glad to take it if you don't want it."

[Front Approach]

There are indeed a number of pit lords patrolling the area around the AMEN base. But this time they aren't attacking, instead they're looking at the henchmen. "One of yours?"
A pit knight mutters something in their own language, glancing suspiciously at Kal with its burning eyes.

Main Room - Sargon

"Oh, it binds...to the soul? ...Then I cannot....have it. I...do not have...one. That is....what happens when...you are created...for just one...murder."

El Cuervo puts the jar back down and sighs. Doing things with just one is tricky.

[Front Entrance]

Kal looks to the henchman, clearly interested in his or her answer.

[Zefir]

Main Room - Sargon

Zefir just stands nearby. He didn't knew enougth about El Curvo and the Demon material to see those complications. He will stay and look at his new gloves for now.

[Front Entrance]

The henchman looks at a list in front of him, Sadly there is no picture to identify that person.

"What's his name." the henchman says. Seems like AMEN has at least made things less open.

[Front Entrance]

The demon stares blankly at the henchman. "Then you can ask him." Then it will handily attempt to grab the henchman and hold him out in front of Kal, uttering the words. "This mortal likes to ask your name, to identify you as a AMEN member. Go ahead." They seems to have little patience for this sort of procedures.

The other demons start close in around the tiefling, trying to position themselves in a circle around him.

Damn. That's just offensive. The henchmen didn't even know his name anymore. Kal sighs. Has AMEN really decayed this far?

"...Yeah. Nevermind."

He starts to turn on his heel.

Front Entrance

A radio by the henchman turns on.

"Honestly, I shouldn't have to step in to do your job. That's Kal, he's a member and allowed to go inside. Am I going to have to set up a test with a list of members and their faces, with a special punishment for failing to get a certain number?"

[Zefir]

The henchman is very frightend, thought he is grabed and all that.

"I'm sorry Mr. Kal." he stutters hanging upside down. "It's a bit ago and I never met you at all."

The demons looks like they are about to stop Kal when the radio is suddenly turned on. They look among themselves for a moment and then decide to back-off, letting the tiefling past. "Can I punish him?" The demon holding the henchman asks, seemingly not caring about Kal's presence. "Such incompetence must be purged."

The radio sits still for a moment, then speaks up.

"Hmm, it seems that you don't have a tank handy, so I'm afraid that I'll have to handle the punishment. You still are useful and if too much of you is broken, you won't be. Its been a while since I've had the chance to play the finger game."

[Zefir]

The henchman is frightend enougth to not speak any other word. What will happen to him is out of this players knowledge so far.

"Right. Have fun. Bye."

Kal leaves. He had been hoping to tweak a few noses, make some taunts, and maybe pick some fights with a bunch of demons, but this is just too sad, even for him. Kicking the ant's nest would have been fun, but not so much if it's already had a canister of bleach poured into it.

The demons move out of the way as Kal leaves, not wishing to stop him. Looks like there were very few AMEN members that wanted to be here anymore. Must be its incompetent minions. Losing interest in this game, not even getting to kill a mortal, the demon simply drops the minion and walks away with a shrug. "You keep order on your own kin..."

Main Room - Sargon

"No soul? So you are like the spawn then, curious. Perhaps there is someone else around here that is interested? Otherwise I have to hand it over to my soldiers." Sargon states.

[Zefir]

Main Room - Sargon

"I could ask, but I doubt it." Zefir says. "Not many miss a limb."

[Shadowcaller]

Main Room - Sargon

Sargon stares at Zefir. "I don't think you heard what I said, the making of even a single legion-crafted item is enough to guarantee a smith's place in the great beyond. It can be made into any shape, not just a simple arm. Only the wielders imagination puts a limit to it."

[Zefir]

Main Room - Sargon

"Oh, then I missunderstood that." Zefir says as an excuse for his players inadvertence.
"I will ask around and I will inform you about it. As you saw there is some progress mad on our side and I guess we have completed some of the preperations by now."

[Shadowcaller]

Main Room - Sargon

"Yes, but if we're done with this, what exactly is the plan now that the meeting is completed? What are you going to do next, exactly?" Sargon asks Zefir.

[Zefir]

I'm not really sure what Sargon means since this is just the item deliver meeting.

"Well, we continue preperations. Or is there any change of plan?" (not to mention that the month is already over and I just might have missed the start of the attack)

Main Room - Sargon

((There have been far more than a month since the attack should have taken place, the Riverside election got in the way and I didn't want to disrupt it. The attack will likely take place shortly after the election.))

The demon king gestures towards Zefir. "Well, what is the progress with your preparations? Just how far have you come along? I am planning to test Riversides defenses with a mercenary attack and harvest some of the beasts of the hunting grounds. Are you interested in providing aid with any of those endeavors?"

Main Room - Sargon

"I deposes a...number of such...beasts outside. Their...corpses await you."

El Cuervo hasn't quite left to wash the poison off of itself.

[Zefir]

Main Room - Sargon

Zefir just grabs a tablet from a nearby Henchman and taps around for a moment.

"The preperations of our forces is nearly done. I guess all should be done befor the elections end." he says.
"As you hear we already have progress in our tasks. I have to wait for a callback from the other members. As for the mechenary attack, I need to know what kind of help you prefere. I guess one of our member might assis you if that's what you want."

[Shadowcaller]

Main Room - Sargon

Sargon smiles, placing his large hand on the table. "Excellent, but which member? I am sending our resident grand warlock there, along with some hired mercenaries. The idea is that the attack should seem completely unconnected to us, so it would have be someone who can be discreet and not give away their identity."

[Zefir]

Main Room - Sargon

"Good question." he says. "El Curvo and me are out since the attack on the church guys. I guess we are out of options here."

Main Room - Sargon

"If there are...no members we...can send, what...about minions? We...do have some."

[Shadowcaller]

Main Room - Sargon

"Minions?" The demon king asks skeptically. "Are they actually any competent? I'm don't want your help just for the sake of it, actual help must be provided."

[ThePhantom]

Main Room - Sargon

"What would you...want? An attack...beast, or something...capable of more? ...I have both...as opinions."

El Cuervo may have one arm, but its confident that the minions created through its plan can succeed. They haven't failed it yet after all.

[Zefir]

Main Room - Sargon

"I haven't had the chance to proove it, but El Curvo is the best member I have so far. I know he won't lie." At least that's what his player can say.

[Shadowcaller]

Main Room - Sargon

"I need someone who knows how to cause destruction in a subtle fashion, and won't be seen as connected to AMEN or us in any way." Sargon states. "Otherwise I don't care what it is."

[Zefir]

Main Room - Sargon

"I only know two people here for that job." he says. "But either me or the boom witch are connected to AMEN."
((That's the problem if you don't know who all is still in AMEN and who not.))

"I believe that...the minion will...do for such...a purpose."

(True, AMEN has shrunk in members. Not too many people left at this point.)
