So I've been trying to trick myself into drinking coffee by doing half and half with vanilla creamer. Am I doing it wrong?

For now I'd like to keep the reasons of me moving to myself, but I guess I'll just say that it's likely you'll see me post just as little as I have been for the past few weeks for another few weeks or months.

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
Wat.
Allow me to instruct you.
Spoiler: How to do thisMethod 1 (easy way):
- Acquire hot chocolate mix. This is often sold in stores where one can find food items.
- Prepare hot water. This can be done in several ways, including but not limited to using a stovetop or microwave on cold water.
- Pour hot chocolate mix into hot water and stir until it is dissolved
Method 2 (slightly less easy way):
- Acquire cocoa powder, sugar, and milk/cream. These are often sold in stores where food items can be found.
- Measure out and mix an appropriate amount of cocoa powder and sugar. A few tablespoons is probably about right, for a small cup of hot chocolate.
- Heat milk/cream/water/whathaveyou (to personal taste. Some people like a milk base, some people heat up water and add milk/cream when mixing. Experiment and see what you like). See Method 1 for details on heating liquids.
- Thoroughly mix the hot liquid base (milk, water, cream, whathaveyou) with the cocoa powder and sugar.
I would advocate Method 1, as it's far more difficult to mess up, and honestly probably costs around the same, unless you have all the ingredients just lying around already.Avatar by FinnLassie

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
I have a scar on my right side (and a bit below my armpit) that is around 8 1/2 inches long. I got that scar from an operation on the day I was born.
It was kinda funny when I went on a river trip in my swimming trunks, one of my friends thought I got it from a shark attack!

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
Yeah, anything can happen between now and then and it might fall back into development hell. But, it's a promising sign!
Method 3:
- Acquire drinking chocolate powder (Nesquik works well)
- Mix with milk
- Microwave
Caveat: Too long in the microwave and the milk will gain a "skin" and taste terrible. You'll have to experiment, but the time needed is usually about 2:00 or less.

Or I could just drink the creamer. It's not warm but it's actually really tasty!

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
Actually, now that I think about it, back when I used to volunteer for a place that acted like a food bank, I've seen my colleagues put chocolate milk in the microwave, and drink it when its done.
Although probably not the best way to get hot chocolate, but that is just my opinion.

My floor's intramural soccer team will be undefeatable this year. We're getting Three Wolf Moon shirts as jerseys.

Indeed, though then you have to come up with how you got near a shark though, and then you have to have lie upon lie and it'll all come crashing down. *wanders off to go listen to build a wall or whatever from Bastion*
I can't really think of any others aside from "should'tn've" offhand, though...

I'm getting worse as the autumn wears on. Panic attacks are getting more and more frequent (still no more than once a week, though). I do not look forward to this winter.

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
Technically, it's not correct English grammar. If you were writing out someone saying it that way, there should be a space.
Shouldn't 've
Couldn't 've
Wouldn't 've
Mightn't 've
Even then, it's still not strictly correct English grammar, it's a colloquialism. The "have" shouldn't be shortened like that.

I keep reading this as "Operation Shark Attack", making it sound like a really b action agent movie.
ION:
Autumn has finally hit us with full force. Up until yesterday, it remained dry and moderately warm, albeit with very foggy mornings. This night, though, we were hit by our first autumn storm and proper downpour, and today the roads were covered in a fine layer of almost snow-like yellow as all dead pine needles had blown off at once. It's a bit surreal how much the leaves and needles on the ground matter for the autumn feeling.
We're still expecting the great firework of nature as the forests shift colours in full force, but it's undeniable that apart from that, we've entered the time of the great darkening.Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...
