Ooh, a magic item shopping comic. We haven't had one of those in a while. And true to form, V always has the best experience in magic item shops and gets a free power up.

One does wonder how Just Hats manages to stay in business though. I bet they have better hats than Hats and More!

And now, the Giant is forced to add a couple extra black lines and a tiny color shift to Blackwing's leg for every comic he ever makes from here on out.

Completely ignored everything else in the comic for about fifteen seconds on that one.

A character moment between V. and their familiar, showing cooperation and selflessness on V.'s part? Blackwing getting to be funny again? What is this, humor getting in the way of plot? We need to see a halfling's WIS score quadruple so he can come up with a completely out-of-character plan to destroy a ridiculously powerful vampire with no repercussions to anyone!

Oh wait. That's not humor getting in the way of plot, that's plot getting in the way of metagaming. Sorry. Never mind.

More seriously, I liked it. V. is sardonic and critical... but the fact remains that let Blackwing keep the stone. Even knowing it's powerful (if they didn't know before now, they certainly did after the gnome here spoke up, but didn't say anything), they didn't try to take it from Blackwing. Now, V. effectively has an ioun stone, and Blackwing has a shiny. Everyone wins.

Man... V getting access to teleport would suck... I always liked that (s)he had Conjuration banned because it made for more interesting plots tht couldn't be solved with a standard action

Psionics-Magic Transparency. Increasing caster level is the same as increasing manifestor level.
