Help with a Gryphon
Hey there folks.
I'm starting a new D&D campaign soon and one of the principle NPCs for the main meat of the story is a gryphon. I don't have a lot of D&D books and none of my players can seem to find anything about gryphons as characters in their texts either. I was hoping that someone had a Homebrewed gryphon design laying around that i could use. Or, perhaps someone is up to the challenge of building one? Or just knows where I can find the build I need. Any input is appreciated really. Thanks!

Re: Help with a Gryphon
right-o. I knew that was there. But its not anywhere near what I'm looking for. most importantly the part where gryphons don't speak common. I'm basically looking for a better race build for them- one that treats them more like a character than a creature

Re: Help with a Gryphon
Well, you can always just say "in my world, griffons can speak". If you want griffons as characters, then you're going to have to make it yourself, as the default griffon is meant to be a monster/mount.
Fizban's Tweaks and Brew: Google Drive (PDF), Thread
A collection of over 200 pages of individually small bans, tweaks, brews, and rule changes, usable piecemeal or nearly altogether, and even some convenient lists. Everything I've done that I'd call done enough to use in one place (plus a number of things I'm working on that aren't quite done, of course).

Re: Help with a Gryphon
If it is a singular gryphon he could be a seer or some massively intelligent other form of smart, with very small levels of psionics (mental talking rific, perhaps as a psi-like ability). There may be issues with this, but unfortunately I know just about nothing about psionics.
