Overall the idea and personality execution is very good. Mechanically there is one minor issue and a major one. The minor one is that what your family is known for may have nothing to do with Athletics though the mythic quality of the background may be enough to overlook it. The second one though you really can't. Effectively the feature is like many features such as Acolyte, Guild Artisan..etc all put together because there isn't a qualification on who can grant you these favors.
