I think I'll go alter Jade's text color, that green doesn't read well against a white background lol.

    Sure thing.

You already won initiative with your first roll, by the way, and I'd have respected that even if you rolled lower here.

Her Parry is 6, so that's a difficulty of 16. Does that excuse me from rolling?

Excellent. Elizabeth will also be trying for a multiattack. Her Precise Strength lets her apply as much or as little damage as she wants up to the PL cap, so to counter Ling's defensive maneuvers she'll be going for Strength 1 + Close Combat 15.

That would be a miss and thus marks the end of round 1.

Ling will do a defensive (5 for 5) multi-attack against Fighting Redwood DC 16 to hit.

Fast Grab: On successful attack, Fighting Redwood must resist a grab with better of strength or dodge against DC13.
Multi-attack: If attack succeeds by two degrees difficulty to resist damage increased by +2, +5 if successful by three degrees.
    Crit if result is 28

k, now we need the toughness result, since Ling's damage is 3 and the multi-attack didn't succeed by enough for a bonus, the DC to resist damage is just 15+3

Whoops. That ought to have been +6 from Dodge rather than +4 from Strength. Elizabeth avoids it either way, thankfully. Whew.

Okey dokey. Not like Elizabeth has much other use for her move actions. She's going to use her move action to close the distance, a standard action to aim, and then another standard action to make the same attack as last time (Multiattack Str 1, CC 15) via extra effort.

Attack Roll vs. DC 26: (1d20+20)[37]

    ______________________________

True, but Ling was built around a different paradigm than Elizabeth was. Consider, for instance, that Elizabeth's powers take up twice as much of her budget compared to how much Ling spent on her powers. It's not like I intended Elizabeth's sheet to reflect "if you just remove her powers, that's how she was before the event" - I'd have drawn up a different sheet entirely. Replacing Protection with Defensive Roll, buying up Fortitude directly instead of using Enhanced Trait, etc. Her sheet's the way it is because of how the system works. I've approached this fight with that understanding, and am using her alternate effect as a baseline for what she would have purchased otherwise.

Three degrees of success is a +5 circumstance bonus to Elizabeth's damage, so Ling needs to make a Toughness resistance check against DC 4+5+15 = 24.

If you're not satisfied with the way I'm handling the fight, we can have the police come in here. Sorry for not making my intentions clear.

Extra Effort, described on pages 19-20 of the core rulebook, does allow for an additional standard action.

Emphasis mine. Not sure how much clearer I could be. I could make it bold the first time around, I suppose.

I'll write up the narration and then it'll be your go. You can have the police come in whenever, or tell me when you'd like me to do it.

Spending Hero Point to recover from the fatigued condition. Then repeating the same actions as last turn: move, aim, Str 1/CC 15 multiattack. The second standard action to attack again comes from Extra Effort.
