The Temple of Eternal Salvation

A new building arises just south of the old mines run by Brodar the Dwarf.

It is a medium-sized stone building by the side of the road. Except for the ornate wooden door, the large stone cube is free of any features. Beside that door is a sign proclaiming, "The Followers of Salvation offer eternal life for a mere donation."

Inside, the temple is as bare as the exterior. Small stone cubes serve as seats and two 10-by-10 arrangements of the blocks on either side of the main aisle serve as seating for two-hundred. Figures cloaked in white sit on about a third of these seats, mumbling incomprehensible words under their breath. Extending three feet from the bottom of the walls except at the entrance, a bottomless pit seems to line the floor of the building. Magical lights are placed along the walls, but do nothing to penetrate the darkness immediately below them.

At the altar, a large sphere with spikes running across its surface, another white-clad follower stands at attention. This one carries a scythe with a silver shaft and an ivory blade. Its hood is open, bearing a grinning white mask that is accented with red triangles along the side of its porcelain visage. To any who meet him, he is Heldren, the high priest of this establishment, and offers "eternal life for a simple price."
