What's a maneuver? It's an attack used by initiators ("Martial Adepts").

They are Boosts, Strikes, Counters, or Stances. Some maneuvers are untyped, but we won't be doing that.

They have a level, a school, a range, a type, and a prerequisite consisting of other a number maneuvers from that school.

Thanks to Zaydos, the school we will putting under is called Sandbox Goliath. The favored skill is Martial Lore/Knowledge: Martial.

DESCRIPTION

The Sandbox Goliath discipline draws its inspiration from many techniques, and many students have left their mark on the school. One such student taught that pure, glorious order was the secret to victory in all things. The stance itself is tall and rigid, with straight back and regal bearing. Some have argued that the technique was derived (others would say stolen) from the Silver Crane technique known as the Stance of the Silver Crane.

While in this stance, any weapon that the martial disciple wields is treated as if it had the Axiomatic special weapon property. Additionally, he is considered under the influence of a Protection from Chaos spell with a caster level equal to his initiator level.

This stance is lifted whole cloth from the Black Seraph and Silver Crane stances which provide Unholy/Protection from Good and Holy/Protection from Evil, respectively. If the new PoW expansion has already included this, too bad, I published first.

Prerequisites: Five Sandbox Goliath maneuvers
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Melee touch attack

Saving Throw: Fortitude Half

You make a gesture with your hand and become shrouded in shadow. Your prey begins to panic, but it's too late. They're already dead.

Description
As part of this maneuver, you make a single melee touch attack. If you hit, you deal normal melee damage plus an extra 2d8 + your constitution modifier of permanent constitution damage. You must make an intimidate check upon dealing damage, this becomes the save for half damage.

The disciple of the sandbox goliath unleashes a rapid flurry of punches that leave foes staggered. Make a full attack against a single target. For each attack that hits, the target must succeed on a Fortitude Save or be staggered for one round. Each failed fortitude save after the first increases the duration of this stagger effect by one round.

The incredible collective genius of the playground fills your mind, allowing you to view the presence of lesser minds and attack their weaker wills to draw them to your side. While in this stance, you gain Mindsight out to a range of 60 ft. and once per round when you would make an attack, the target must succeed on a Will Save or be put under the effects of a charm person spell (Save DC 18+ Initiation Modifier) for one round.

Initiation Action: 1 immediate action

Twist and inch here and the shot flies past your and ricochets back to your assailant. You did the math.

When targeted by an enemy attack from within close range, you may make a knowledge martial check. Use the result of the check as your AC vs the attack if higher than your AC. If the attack misses, you sidestep the attack and your attacker becomes the target of the attack, using your knowledge (martial) roll in place of the original attack roll.

DESCRIPTION

The Sandbox Goliath discipline draws its inspiration from many techniques, and many students have left their mark on the school. One such student taught that victory came from teamwork, which he proceeded to define as "a bunch of dudes ganging up on another dude." His trademark stance involved fluid movement and a total lack of respect for personal space, which he learned after studying with the Ratfolk in their communal living and combat techniques.

While in this stance, the martial disciple gains the benefit of the Ratfolk Swarming racial trait. He may occupy the same space as any one character with that trait as if he had it. Alternatively, up to three characters using this stance may occupy the same space. If two or more characters occupying the same space attack the same enemy, they are treated as flanking.

I pretty much just based this on Stack's name. As in, how can I make melee combatants stack? Answer: Put them all in one space.

For level purposes, I used Golden Lion Commander stance as a template, which allows any ally within 30 feet to flank. Instead of any ally within 30 feet, it's within the same space, but you get to share a space. So, that's a thing.

The thrown creature may attempt a reflex save to reduce the damage taken by both creatures to half. If an unoccupied square is chosen, the thrown creature takes the additional damage. Regardless of target, the thrown creature must make a reflex save or fall prone.

Many fear the night, for it is dark and full of terrors, but the disciple of Sandbox Goliath has learned to optimize the darkness and use it against his foes. When you initiate this counter, you immediately gain total concealment against the next attack made against you. If that attack misses, you can teleport up to 100 ft. in any direction. You may also make a counterattack against the creature that attacked you and missed, and you may choose to make this counterattack before or after you teleport.

Nice. I've always been partial to the Setting Sun throws.

Just a few questions about minor details. I'm not sure if it's actual awkward wording or if I'm just ignorant about certain aspects of PoW.

1. It seems a little odd to use martial adept level in place of initiator level. Is that a common convention in PoW, or am I misunderstanding the meaning, or what?
2. Does PoW standardize the stat modifier that applies to saves so that it's not necessary to specify that the Ref save is 13+Str or whatever? ToB sort of varies from discipline to discipline.
3. More generally (applying to all these maneuvers, in a way). Does PoW do away with maneuver known prereqs?
