To be fair, there is a Tiefling variant named for me. I'm sure they'd be happy to explain the details of planetouched genealogy. First, of course, you're going to have to sign some documents... Standard non-disclosure forms plus addenda, naturally...

The Paladine are created by the willful falling of a celestial being to the mortal realm. This celestial spirit, often a lower angel or archon then bonds with the body of a virtuous mortal, usually a human or Aasimar on the brink of death. The act causes the dying mortal to immediately reincarnate, restored to life and blessed by the powers of goodness.

It wouldn't matter if it was a Paladine, it would matter what the original race of the Paladine was. I think that counts as Word of God, since I wrote it, but meh. If you want something weirder to come out of it, I'm game.

Now to start a breeding program for Paladines and Red Felguards...

Actually, it would probably work fairly easily. Red Felguards are a variant form of Tiefling, which means that despite having awesome diabolical awesome heritage, they can still be Good-aligned; however, being Tieflings, they tend to be scorned and shunned outcasts. Paladines are naturally compassionate and empathetic, which would likely draw the more affection-starved Good Tiefling like a moth to a flame.

Of course, Paladines don't breed true, so I have absolutely nothing to worry about. Still, who am I to stand in the way of twue wub?

Charisma is simultaneously the most and least sexist stat in the game. It both discriminates and is all welcoming.

I guess that makes sense, a Paladine/Human is basically a super Aasimar and a Paladin/Aasimar is an even more super Aasimar. So it would make sense to get an Aasimar. Albeit, slightly different depending on the race you breed with.

Also, I take offense to Paladine breeding being lumped into animal husbandry. My subtype clearly states outsider.
