Adaptive Style questions

Two questions about the Adaptive Style feat in relation to Swordsages:
1. If I have used all my readied maneuvers in a combat and then use this feat do I get to use the new maneuvers straight away or do I wait until the next encounter?
2. Does using this feat count as recovery of a maneuver for the Vital Recovery feat?

edit: Don't forget that vital recovery only works 1/encounter times. So yes it works, but only once an encounter.
