I usually have rough expectations for what the next five or ten comics might be about, but I have been wrong with my expectations for a long time with this comic.

When Ardon tried rescuing Peanut way back in the first Dire arc he rescued the wrong kobold, a kobold that had a clear difference in scale color, because he never bothered to remember what Peanut looks like.

As someone else already said, it's a reference to when Ardon rescued the wrong color of kobold from the tower thinking it was Peanut.

More important, this was the funniest gag in the last weeks, imho. Slapstick humor, but great.

The whole "Oh no its not really odie its still ardon" gag is getting out of hand. If this lasts for another 2+ pages, its literally the equivalent of beating a dead horse. Like.. just show her, I dunno, your ability to fart lightning or tell her to detect evil or something and be done with it.

I think Ell would never believe that Ardon could fake the kiss or perfectly fake his reaction to the kiss (or perhaps, more accurately that Ardon wouldn't actually know what kind of reaction Odie would have). The kiss itself was a test. Ell has the skeptical eyebrows right after the kiss and only changes her expression when she see's the expression on Odie's Ardon face and then she realizes.

Looking at Dwai (A.K.A Don't worry about it, A.K.A. Masked Archer) in the last panel I would say she was betting against Odie joining the old gang. Either that or this result is making her rethink her own situation (whatever that might be) since I got the feeling she was projecting when she was trying to convince Odie it would be better not to tell Ell and Peanut the truth.

Regarding Tagneesi: I also doubt she has Odie's goodwill in mind. She wants to use Ardon's body as a bargaining chip. That's unlikely to end up well for the person inhabiting the body. Especially since the people most interested in Ardon all want him dead. Odie is just a moron so he doesn't see that.

I do think she'll come around and be a protagonist though.

I wonder if Odie's going to shave his head and go back to the shirtless look, or if he'll stay looking like Ardon. Also, if you intentionally shave your head, does healing restore your hair like it does if you lose it in other ways? Questions for the ages.

feel like if this is a long-term thing, Odie will make some kind of change to Ardon's body, just so it's easier to look at him and not immidiately think "Ardon".

Plus a change in visual appearance is a good way to show change in character, see many different instances in OOTS. This might all wait until after archer chick is done with him.

I think the world must allow for intentional changes or cosmetic ones that weren't created by suffering HP damage/a condition - things like adopting a different haircut or getting a tattoo or similar .. otherwise I think we'd have had a joke or two by now about people being created in a specific look like they were stamped out of a character-creator utility and resetting to that appearance whenever they rested.

I feel like we're about to get a lot of backstory on Ardon that'll make him more sympathetic.

Is it even his fault that he's an evil bastard? Something happened to take away his soul, and then he was possessed by an evil nightmare spirit. He's done a lot of bad stuff, but I think he's redeemable. That's not to say he will actually be redeemed...but it could happen.

remember how Ardon could summon that little spirit owlbear thing? And when posessed by the nightmare spirit, the spirit could speak through the owlbear?

you think if Odie summons it, either Ardon or "Ardon's memmories" will posess / speak through the spirit owlbear? Hopefully the latter if any in my opinion, as i kinda hope he's dead-dead-dead.
