No he doesn't. Ardon can never figure out who the masked archer is. Likely because Ardon doesn't remember her.

Also, they would have been killed by crossbow bolts, not longbow arrows. I know the Guard aren't exactly geniuses but they've probably had enough weapons training to know the difference.

I doubt he would frame her, the orc warchief probably would have been convicted and those guys were convicted as well. He is going to try to murder her (going off the let no enemy survive philosophy) not rely on a long court process where even if there is the death penalty she has a chance to escape.

Curious why he didn't just stab the guard. Was he unsure that he could kill the guard before they call reinforcements? That is a very pricey thing to use to murder a single person.

I think I know who has what color if people care. Pink is Chandea as she set was deciding where to go, dark green is Ellie as she is commenting on which towns they can't go to, orange is Peanut as Pnut iz best nut, Ardon is dark blue as he is drawing a picture of burning Salad, dark red is 45 as it is the one non-hand written note and light blue is Odvillous.

The mummy created a egglaying wool-milk sow*?
    Awesome!

It just has to work on the way it assembles it's chimeras.

And Peanut’s reaction is typical adventurer.
No appreciation for a perfectly useful creation.
Every idiot** can create a horrying combat chimera to terrorize the countryside, but someone making one that is actually useful? That is rare.

*Well, almost. Might need a bit more pig (and possibly sheep) in it to qualify.

**With magic. Every idiot with magic. And the right spell obviously.

So, even though Paladins can be of any alignment in 4th edition and WSG takes place in a world that runs on 4th edition rules, people still assume Paladins are lawful good? Are there no infamous evil paladins? If people really do assume paladins are good I would think it wouldn't take much for an evil one to get his name spread around. I'm not saying Ell is evil, obviously, but paladins have no rules against hanging out with evil people in 4th edition correct?

I think Chandea is missing the point.

Ell might not fail as a paladin, but she needs to understand that being a friend and agreeing with everything the "friend" does is not the same thing.

If your friend is doing things like serial murder and you stick with them that's basically implicit approval of their actions.

    My guess is illithid/mind-flayer.

That is crazy talk. He clearly is a mummy. He has written a manual that says so.

I wonder posing if as a mummy is a trick to mislead adventurers or if he actually believes he is one.

The latter would be funnier. Especially our protagonists' reactions.

Are mindflayers weak to sunlight in 4e? The fake mummy manual specifically mentioned that they hide from sun.

I also like the idea that it is neither a mind flayer or mummy. They are just messing with people that come in by hinting they are a mind flayer when they are not.

If Mum is bluffing, 45, at least, is also bluffing, as his eyes turned blue but constructs/warforged are immune to mind effects.

Not in 4e. I think they get a racial bonus to Will saves, but I don't remember an outright immunity.

Is this why people think Warforged are a top tier race?* They aren't immune to mind-affecting effect. They've never been. They are living constructs. And living constructs even in 3.5 have a bit where it says "Unlike other constructs, a living construct is not immune to mind-influencing effects".

Which while dysfunctional (as the terminology is normally mind-affecting) it's pretty clear what the intent is. Also they have a Wisdom penalty making them extra susceptible.

Also this is 4e where they... have a +1 on Will Defense. So it is in fact more true for 4e than 3.5 (as a +1 is closer to immunity than a -1).

As a note it is also not true for 5e (though less true than 4e and more true than 3.5).

The cheese in 3.5 was using some kind of polymorph on a Warforged to change them into another form of construct, thus gaining immunity to precision damage, critical hits, mind-affecting effects, poison, disease, and so on.

Is anyone surprised by Ardon’s behaviour?

Because while it fits his usal behaviour and I didn't really expect him to act heroic there it is still shocking how causally he leaves his party behind.
On the other hand, there is a tiny chance he has some kind of plan to deal with it and just needs some materials.
What he says before deciding to leave could imply it at least.

Unless he his plan is to get another party to rescue the current one, I don't see it (since he made it very clear that he intends to form another party.)

On the other hand that could very well be his plan.

I mean, outside of Ell they just did this exact thing to him when they abandoned him to his brother. I'd like to see him try to save El at least, but he's evil so it's not unexpected.

In Ardon's broken little mind Ell also betrayed him by saving Odivallus instead of him. This is despite the fact that it wound up being the best move given that Adron's brother wasn't going to kill him right then and there anyways.

He did say "i can GET annother one"

So i wouldn't put it past him to find annother group of adventurers, possibly even Ell's parents, and get them to help out.

It's recharge 5, which means the Mind Flayer Mummy needs to roll a 5 or a 6 on a d6 to recharge it, and it gets to roll for that once per round.

This isn't a standard example of its kind, though, the only power in the standard stat block that does a domination effect is single target, which doesn't match getting the entire group to march into the cages at once.

This is a perfectly standard Mummy Blast that all Mummies use. Stop spreading misinformation.
