[Archetype] Occult Scholar (Wizard)
OCCULT SCHOLAR (WIZARD)
-Psychic Research: An occult scholar casts psychic spells drawn from the psychic spell list, but otherwise learns, prepares, and casts spells identically to a standard wizard. This alters the wizard's spellcasting
-Knacks: Occult scholars can prepare a number of knacks, or 0-level psychic spells, each day. These spells are cast like any other spell, but they are not expended she cast and can be used again. This replaces the wizard's cantrips.
-Occult Bond (Ex): At 1st level, an occult scholar forms a powerful bond with an object. The occult scholar begins play with a bonded object at no cost. Objects that are subject to an occult bond must be one that is an implement usable by an occultist and corresponds to the occult scholar's chosen school. Items acquired at 1st level are not made of any special material. If it is something worn, it must be worn to have effect. Items that are typically held, conversely, must be held to have an effect. If the occult scholar attempts to cast a spell without his bonded object worn or in hand, he must make a concentration check or lose the spell. The DC for this check is equal to 20 + the spell's level. If the object corresponds to a body slot, such as a ring to the ring slot or an amulet to the neck slot, then it occupies that slot accordingly.
-A bonded object can be used once per day to cast any one spell that the occult scholar has in his spellbook and is capable of casting, even if the spell is not prepared. This spell is treated like any other spell cast by the occult scholar, including cast time, duration, ando there effects dependent on the occult scholar's level. The bonded object cannot be used to cast spells from the occult scholar's opposition schools. This ability replaces, and largely functions as, the wizard's arcane bond.
-Bonus Feats: In addition to the bonus feats a wizard can select, an occult scholar can select any feat that has psychic spellcasting as a prerequisite. This alters the wizard's bonus feats.
