Will Roy notice the third person, not the first, in the last panel? What's Durkula's real motive now, and why is he telling Roy that's what it is?
EDIT:I think his motive is to delay Roy, but until what?
    Huh, first. Cool!

I don't see how Roy is going to get out of this. Nice long battle scene though. I onder of the High Piestess of Thor might now be persuaded to die heroically.

Loki really is comedy gold. Every line he says is a great line. Also interesting last panel (artwise), not a 100% sure the perspective really works, but interesting none the less.

Hmm, perspective in that last panel is a little weird...

    Interesting development nonetheless.

Well, looks like Roy is just about finished. I think it's down to just one person left who can save the day:

    Spoiler
    Show
    Durkon Thundershield.

The High Priest of Hel has been saying things which are very un-Durkon like, and I think Durkon might be able to use that.

Looks like the Spellsplinter feat didn't quite work that time.

Prediction: Next strip will switch to Belkar. (and about time -- he's been Schroedinger's Halfling for almost two months now).

I'm not sure if Roy will notice the third person. If I didn't know about the HPoH I would assume Durkon was the classic arrogant bad guy. Even knowing that Durkon isn't himself right now the use of the third person doesn't look like a hint.

Loki is great. Even if I have to wonder what he considers sufficient reason to blow up the world.

It does look odd; a very stretched out Roy. I wonder if it was intended to show his injured self?

Hmm, maybe one of the other bodyguards has access to healing ? My first thought, but I doubt that'll be the resolution, though. Too out-of-nowhere.

Why is the HPoH still bothering to keep up the Durkon act? He's planning to kill Roy and get the world destroyed, so why would it matter what one human thinks?

I am quite certain that Belkar isn't going to do anything here. :)

The third-person use of Durkon here is also not a give-away, he's using it in a way that you or I would use it.

    Oh. Crap.

I'm hoping something steps up to save Roy's bacon (which looks a bit crispy at this point), but I think Roy dying here wouldn't be too horrible. After this whole thing is resolved, I think they might be able to find someone to raise him.

Roy's taken a serious beating here. But then again, so has Durkula. I believe in Roy's abilities. He may be down, but that doesn't mean he's out, and that undead bane has to proc sometime.
