Homebrewed Android/Warforged Race [PEACH]
In an upcoming game, one of the players will be playing an Artificer, while another player wants to play some kind of construct, servitor or mechanical but sentient servant, but the Android felt much too tech-y and 'plastic human', while the only Warforged conversion we found had some oddities (like being of the half-construct subtype, which doesn't seem to exist in Pathfinder) and had a lack of options.
So we created a homebrewed race based on the Android (I recommend reading the entry in People of the Stars rather than the one on PFSRD, which is pretty terrible for some reason) and this Warforged conversion from Eberron Pathfinder: http://pf-eberron.wikidot.com/races:warforged.
Anyway, before we consider using it, I'd like to see some commentary on it, glaring omissions, problems, is it crazy one way or another, and so on and so forth.
So I'd very much appreciate it if you gave it a read-through and gave me your thoughts:

I realize it looks like it has an inordinate amount of traits, but I purposfully split up some pre-existing traits (like the Android's Constructed Trait, which I will be renaming Living Construct) because I think that an individual Racial Trait should be more focused in scope. Also, I ended up with very few traits with very wide-reaching consequences, which stifled the potential for alternate racial traits.
Lay it on me, ladies and gentlemen, how much did I screw up?Last edited by Luckmann; 2015-09-26 at 11:44 AM.

Re: Homebrewed Android/Warforged Race [PEACH]
Nice!
The half-construct subtype does exist in PF (and I think the warforged conversion looked pretty OK actually). I'd suggest you first redesign your version using PF's half-construct subtype and the PF race builder as far as possible, for the sake of consistency if nothing else. And depending on how it turns out apply custom tweaking where needed (which it probably will be). Then I'd gladly have a look at other details as well.

The racial traits of your version total a lot more RP than that of the racial traits of any of the core races. This isn't necessarily a big problem, considering all the great options available to many of the published races, but you should be aware there is a considerable and very real difference in power, regardless of Paizo's race-builder pricing often being off.Last edited by upho; 2015-09-26 at 06:41 PM.
