You just gotta love how excited they look! What, with exclamation marks at the end of their spells.

Pretty good comic by the way.

Too much action, it's just too hard to follow what's happening when everything is so fast paced.

(Sarcasm aside that was pretty awesome, mind you I don't play dnd so I probably misinterpreted the whole thing and it's really a deep political statement about...something political)

Awesome Giant. Clerics dueling with the ultimate in touch spells. Very flashy.

I think the cleric needed a 23 minimum to save.

Zot, that's the sound affect that the newspaper comic "DC" uses when an ant gets eaten by an anteater. It's good to see that the elephant didn't do any damage... could have bashed some walls. Not quite the cleric showdown I was expecting, I was hoping for Redcloak vs. Durkon. Anyways, maybe Hinjo will see that Belkar can do some massive damage and lift the MoJ... that'd be awesome.
There may yet be hope for you!

Well crap (kinda). I find myself pulling more and more for Redcloak for some reason the past week. We all say "Well oots HAS to win overall". But what if they don't?

Mr. Burlew blew the special effects budget with the Symbol of Insanity, Ghost Martyrs, and the last hobgoblin charge. Therefore, this comic was done on the cheap.

    "Does a 21 save?"
    "No"
    "Crap."
    Yeah, that sounds about right.

    Loved it :)

Me and a friend get Cleric saves in a game we've got going, and every time there's an AoE we both grin and chant "Cleric Saves! Cleric Saves!" as we roll.

Well.. Redcloak just wasted a fair amount of spells.

That was pretty.. Epic. Poor man though, a 21 wasn't able to save him!

No other magic duel have indeed outscaled this one.
You can feel the epicness in the "I made my save" and in the glowing hands.

    Nice one, Giant!

Blazes, methinks that just highlights what's so bleeding wrong with non-Durkon clerics in the OotSverse--- have ye ever seen them wear armor or use weapons?

Psheesh! Sorry I took it seriously again. The joke was in the absurdity of touch spells, right?

That has to have been one of the strangest displays of Cleric Slap Fighting I have ever seen. Though the 'does a 21 save?' moment does hearken back to my own game group rather well; we usually have the same sort of reaction.

So(to bring up a point already mentioned by another poster), what's going on in the throne room?!?
Now if you don't mind, I am somewhat preoccupied telling the laws of physics to shut up and sit down.
