    Default [Religion] Blasphemies of the Ten (A philosophy founded on fiends)

    BLASPHEMIES OF THE TEN
    "1The gods are not alone in their capacity to create, 2for before sin, before morality, even before the gods' creation, there existed life. 3Just as mortals are, the gods are prone to mistakes. 4In this, one's creation bares the sins of its creator, 5and mortal and deity alike are unworthy of their creation. These creations are best brought to ruin, 6for all things die, and even what was meant to be eternal can and aught to be fuel for the fire. 7But do not confuse sin for evil, for good and evil are simply means to an end. 8Sin is, rather, a failure to hold up to the rules of the divine, and those who fail in their duties are punished, changed forever. 9For sin is also a force of change. Outside the forces of the divine, one can ascend to greater state through sin. 10By one's hand, one can become stronger. By the embrace of pain, both physical and metaphysical, one then can truly begin to pursue perfection."
    1Demodand, 2Qlippoth, 3Asura, 4Rakshasa, 5Div, 6Daemon, 7Devil, 8Oni, 9Demon, 10Kyton.

    -Referred to as the Blasphemies of the Ten, this is a philosophy and religion inspired by observations made about the ten primary races of fiend. While individuals and differing groups may hold differing approaches, and perhaps even additional beliefs added through observation of other fiendish races or other terrible beings, these ten remain consistent throughout all who keep to this philosophy and faith. It is unknown what scholar first recorded the passages that serve as the foundation of these beliefs, but they are often left up to the interpretation of all who follow the blasphemies rather than a concrete dogma. Curiously, while there are those that come to use this philosophy and religion as their only, drawing from it power, there are others that instead incorporate it in their world view and practices as one devoted to a deity or demigod of the ten.

    Game Rule Information
    -Although there is no patron god inherent for those who follow the Blasphemies of the Ten, given it is not only a fervent belief in a concept but is a belief that is at odds with the gods, followers of the Blasphemies of the Ten can choose to count as possessing a patron deity. They can qualify for feats, classes, archetypes, and prestige classes that specifically require that they follow a non-specific deity or fiendish demigod (such as fiendish vessel), or that explicitly require they do not follow a deity (such as ur-priest). To this end, this faith is treated as follows;

    Alignment: Neutral Evil.
    Available Domains: Death, Destruction, Evil, and Knowledge.
    Available Subdomains: Corruption, Daemon, Demodand, Demon, Devil, and Kyton.
    Typical Inquisitions: Damnation, Heresy, Oblivion, and Sin.
    Favored Weapon: Dagger.
    Symbol: A vaguely fiendish rune, meant to resemble ten differing figures standing in a circle. More detailed symbols depict each as a fiend of a different type. More misotheistic followers of the Blasphemies of the Ten have been known to carve their symbol from or into a defiled holy symbol belonging to a religion they directly oppose.

    While this does stand as a separate religion, a number of have been known to be worshiped while following the Blasphemies of the Ten. These are typically the demigod level members of fiendish races, and deities with strong associations with fiends (Asmodeus, Rovagug, and Zon-kuthon, to name a few). This option, however, presents no mechanical difference from following the patron normally.

    Archetypes
    The following archetypes are available to followers of the Blasphemies of the Ten, in addition to those they otherwise qualify for.

    None have been produced yet.
