Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
Dang, go Roy! So maybe he DID take berserker rage or whatever its called as a feat. I wonder what their relative hp levels are now? Also, will durkula start trying to run out the clock now that he seems to be losing?

Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
Well. Damn.
I guess he did heal himself after all. This certainly IS weird-- I don't think we can totally blame it on the sword, either. I'm not sure what it IS, but I'm not sure it's just the power of starmetal.
(Roy you should not stop though, you gotta behead him while you have a chance.)

Ouch, what a beating.
Though now that the HPoH is away, he might have enough time to recover. Hurry Roy!
Stop thinking about every little detail. Its not the time to make sense!

Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
Heh,heh, heh. The Green Glow, universal sign of strength - and outer space radiation. Glad to see Durkula getting tossed around like that, but it does not seem, at least visually, to have had quite the impact that I was hoping for.
Also, Hey Roy, the sword is cool and all, but maybe you ought to be thinking about that later. This fight is not exactly over yet.

Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
Roy utterly beats down Durkula, and is actually healed for real. Go Roy!
Though hitting him away might be a mistake, as he doesn't seem dead or defeated yet, and Roy is out of his 'Greenhilt' mode rage, so Durkula might be able to respond or play for time now.Avatar by the Incredible Gengy.King of Caligonia in Empire 3. Crusaded into the sunset

Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
Not only did it heal him, it apparently dispelled Hel's Might. Roy's packing some heat now, or at least glow.

Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
love Roy's expression in the last panel.
“Evil is evil. Lesser, greater, middling, it's all the same. Proportions are negotiated, boundaries blurred. I'm not a pious hermit, I haven't done only good in my life. But if I'm to choose between one evil and another, then I prefer not to choose at all.”

Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
Panel 6 and 7 : Beautiful. Home. Run. It feels good to see this vampire get his ass handed to him.
Also, I wonder what that means. Is the Sword and intelligent item that can take control of its wielder ? Is it powered by Roy's emotions in some way ?Last edited by Seto; 2015-10-27 at 05:50 PM.

Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
so, roy was actually healed by the sword effect. if durkula now cast harm on himself, the duel will be effectively restarted. except that he'll be out of some of his best spell slots. still, i am surprised that he's still alive, given how much damage roy can deal, especiially with that green energy

Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
So, Roy suddenly loses the sword's boost, and Durkula isn't dead yet... and Durkula already said that he could just go into mist form and become essentially invincible.

Re: OOTS #1010 - The Discussion Thread
WhooHOO!!
Awesome. Now FINISH HIM!!!"...Look, it's a simple job. Just go down to the docks, book passage on the good ship Harm's Way, set sail for the Isles of Immaculate Doom, pick up the Orb of Despair which is already waiting for you, and bring it back to deliver to that crazy old coot who lives in that creepy old tower in the Swamp of a Thousand Screams. What could possibly go wrong?"
