Concerning Stacking Attack Bonus

I've been asked recently about it and can't figure it out.
Stacking Base Attack Bonus. Does it allow for extra attacks if you stack them to a total above +5? Also, do Prestige Classes allow for extra attacks, because their BAB is always something like +10, instead of +10/+5.

For example, I have a Fighter 2 / Barbarian 4 / Frenzied Berserker 10. Does he have a BAB of +16, or +16/+6/+2?

When you have a BAB of +6, you have +6/+1. The same for +11 (+11/+6/+1) and +16 (+16/+11/+6/+1).

You get an extra attack for every 5 points greater than 1 your Base Attack Bonus is. So that sample character gets 4 attacks at +16/+11/+6/+1. Basically, to find the number of attacks, subtract 5 from your base attack bonus. If it's still a positive integer, you get another attack, and if you can subtract 5 from that and keep it positive, you get another attack, etc.

Indeed. If your Character's BAB is 16, his Attack Routine is normally +16/+11/+6/+1, regardless of how many different Base Classes or Prestige Classes he has.

Every +5 of BAB beyond +1 grants you another attack. Theoretically, if you had a BAB of +27, you would get a 5th and 6th attack, for +27/+22/+17/+12/+7/+2. That said, I don't know how you would do that, especially since epic levels don't increase your BAB. As far as I know, it's impossible to raise your BAB above +20.

Actually, it still caps at 4 attacks, shown by the Solar Angel. Monster hit dice keep full progression of BAB, unlike class HD. Also, if you play Iron Heroes, they do that as well.

Not all monster HD. Only certain types of HD increase BAB at full progression.

The point was that monster HD still progresses BAB above 20th. However you never get more than 4 attacks, even if you had +30 BAB.
