    Default Maid OOC Thread

This is the OOC thread for our Maid game. Post your characters below! A brief background is compulsory, but it doesn't need to be more than a paragraph.

    Spoiler: Bare Basics
    Show

Maid is a fairly simple, rules light game that's designed to be comedic, dramatic and romantic. It gives players a little more power than usual - if it isn't the DM or another player, I'm happy with you doing whatever. The only exception is things that are significant enough they'd be a true Event, and that if you make it up yourself without input you don't get Favor (the equivalent of XP and then some) from it.

Maid uses d6s and d66s. A d66 is actually two d6s with one determining the tens and one determining the ones, so make sure to use [rollv*]2d6[/rollv*] for that and ignore the total.

As you can probably tell by the premise Maid is supposed to be a little risque. In addition, even though the Maids aren't in DIRECT competition it can still be pretty cut throat and the default roll is against other PCs. If neither of these appeal to you, Maid probably won't.

    Spoiler: Making Your Character
    Show

Maid uses a randomly generated character system, which means that it's pretty easy to make a character even if you don't have the book. Just roll the below and I'll fill you in with what you get if the result is based off of a table.

First roll 2d6 for each of the six stats (Athletics, Affection, SKill, Cunning, Luck and Will) and divide each number by three to get your result. You round down. Next roll a d66 to determine your two Maid types. Then roll a d66 each for your uniform color, eye color and hair color.

Everyone gets two special qualities, which means you roll a d66 twice here. Then you roll another d66 for Maid Roots (ie. Background), Stress Explosion, Maid Weapon, Trauma, and either a physical complex or mental complex (your choice. You can choose to roll twice and take one of each if you prefer).

You start with Favor equal to your Affection times two. You start with Spirit equal to your Will score times ten. Note these AFTER I get back to you, as Maid Type determines stats.

Roll a d6 to determine your Maid power. Roll a second d6 for a second power if the stats you rolled add up to 9 or less in total.

You must be female, but other than that you can determine anything else about your character independently, so long as it fits the setting and doesn't contradict anything you rolled.

    Spoiler: Basic Rules
    Show

You gain Favor by serving the Master for things you do as follows:
    -Doing your Duty: 1d6
    -Achieving a Nice Atmosphere: 2d6
    -Completing a Major Task: 2d6-3d6
-Save the Master's Life or Manor - 3d6-4d6
-Fulfilling the Master's Romantic or Physical Needs: 2d6-4d6 the first time, 1d6 each other time.
-Going the Extra Mile or Good Role Play: 1 on top of your other rewards.

If certain tasks are neglected or you do something heinously wrong you may instead lose Favor. Keep that in mind, as a Maid who dips below 0 Favor is dismissed unless she weakens herself.

Whenever you attempt anything that requires a roll, you roll 1d6 and multiply it by the applicable stat. For perspective most of the time you'll be aiming to hit between four (the easiest) and ten (the highest). If you can justify it you can tackle a task with just about any stat, but it may be a higher difficult if you attempt a non-conventional solution.

Combat refers to any competitive roll, from competing to see who will get a certain task to outright attacking another Maid. All the Maids participating in Combat make a normal roll. Whoever gets the highest number wins, and all of the losers takes Stress equal to the number the winner got divided by the stat the defender was using in that Combat rounded down. So if both Maids had 2 Cunning and both used it, and one Maid won with nine, then the loser would take four Stress.

When a Maid's Stress exceeds their Spirit, they have a Stress Explosion. They must drop what they're doing to indulge in the action outlined on their sheet, and will not be able to perform any additional tasks until they calm down. In person this is timed IRL, but on the forum it will be decided on a case by case basis based on how much Stress you have. Usually you'll miss the chance to perform a task or two. Once your Stress Explosion ends you reset to 0 Stress.

    Spoiler: Variant Rules
    Show

You can seduce another Maid by initiating a contest with either your Affection or Cunning, opposed by whatever stat the defender chooses. If the attack fails the attacker takes the appropriate Stress and has a -1 penalty to the die roll for future attempts on that Maid. If they succeed the defender takes no Stress, but is seduced.

While Seduced a character gains Favor from the Seducer as though they were a Master, and is obligated to do anything the Seducer asks due to the fact the Seducer ALWAYS wins in combat against the Seduced. A Seducer can attempt to Seduce the Seducer to balance things out, in which case neither party win automatically against each other but still give each other Favor, though there are still complications. If a Maid is Seduced by multiple people and they give conflicting orders, the Seducers Contest to see who wins out, though the Seduced takes the stress rather than the loser.

Seduction attack rolls cannot be boosted by Favor, though defense rolls can. In addition if you're attempting to Seduce the Master other Maids can spend favor or join the Contest to help the Master avoid the Seduction. When you fail to Seduce the Master you also lose 2d6 Favor. The Master has a favorite Maid type that will find it easier to Seduce them.

While in a relationship your actions effect both the Seduced and Seducer in the form of Stress. In some ways this is good, in others it's bad. Basically:
-If you verbally support your partner they lose 1d6 Stress.
-If you kiss your partner they lose 3d6 the first time and 1d6 each other time. The same holds true for getting to the next base.
-If your partner works hard for you you lose between 1 and 4 d6 depending on the circumstances
-When you Seduce someone you lose 3d6 Stress.

    Furthermore:
-If you verbally insult your partner they gain 1d6 Stress.
-If you betray or abandon your partner they gain 3d6 stress the first time and 2d6 each time after. The same is true of fighting your partner.
-If you find out your partner Seduced someone else you take 1 to 4 d6 Stress depending on the circumstances. You take a flat 3d6 if your partner is Seduced by someone else.
-If you have a Tragedy (see below) you take 10 + your Spirit Stress and any Seduction you have on that character and Seduction they have on you ends immediately.

When you have a Stress Explosion due to Romantic Stress you have a Tragedy. You lose 4d6 Favor and must roll with Affection or Will to beat 8 with no bonuses from Favor. If you fail, you have a Tragedy instead of a Stress Explosion and must roll 1d6 to determine what it is. No Tragedy is pleasant.

    Spoiler: Other Rules
    Show

You have a penalty to your die rolls if you're not wearing your entire Maid uniform. Make sure to keep in uniform at all times and try to avoid getting it soiled or damaged.

The Hole has some special traits, namely that it's a Secret Base and a Dungeon. The Manor being a Secret Base means that you get a +1 bonus to rolls against organized outside invasion. The Dungeon means you can imprison NPCs you defeat rather than letting them go or killing them. It also has a Self-Destruct Button only the Master can use, so be warned.

You can spend Favor in other ways as well. The primary way to spend Favor is:
-Removing Stress. You can pay 1 Favor to lower your Stress by 1.
-Raising Attributes. By spending ten times the value of your new stat value you can raise that stat by one.
-Roll Bonus: You can spend 1d6 Favor to add +1 to either the die roll or an attribute for one roll.
-Random Event: You can pay 1d6 Favor to roll a d66 and get a Random Event focused on your character.

Whoever has the most Favor at the end of an episode also gets their pick of final scenes and alone time with the Master if they so choose. Maids in a relationship with other Maids can have their scenes together regardless of Favor if they choose.

    Spoiler: The Hole
    Show

Originally an underground military prison, the Hole was forgotten for some time after the apocalypse before being rediscovered by Matsubisha Yoshi and quickly being brought back up to working order to be put back to serve The Core. Soon the cells were full of simple thieves, dangerous mutants and important political prisoners. Being practically invisible and impenetrable, The Hole is a key part of The Core's infrastructure and remains a valuable fallback shelter they refuse to compromise by occupying it and bringing attention to its existence. As such the duties of sustaining the prison fall to the late Matsubisha Yoshi's daughter Warden Matsubisha Tsubasa and her maids.

The Hole is comprise of ten different areas, each which have different advantages and requires maintenance and cleaning:

-The Master's Chamber. This consists of a bedroom and bathroom. The Master wakes up here of a morning and needs help getting ready for the day. She also retires here of a night and needs help bathing and getting ready for bed. She occassionally spends part of the day here relaxing. It needs to be cleaned daily.

-The Mess. This consists of the kitchen, the dining area and the laundry. A meal needs to be cooked and the table set in the morning, afternoon and evening each day. Laundry needs to be taken care of once a week. The room needs cleaned daily.

-The Maid's Quarters. This is where the Maid's sleep, bathe and so on. It requires no upkeep that isn't covered in downtime and is just a place a Maid can go to get away from it all for a while.

-The Stockroom. This is where you can get food, medicine, and other things. It only really needs tracking and cleaning once a month, but it's a great place for privacy.

-The Control Center. This is the hub of the entire prison. Anything and everything can be controlled from here, from lock-down protocols to water temperature. This is also where the security monitors are. The Control Centers needs to be manned at all times to avoid any chance of a prison break or outside invasion. Most of the time the Master herself takes this duty.

-The Atrium. A entry room and waiting room for those wanting to enter The Hole proper. It's isolated from the rest of the facility and is a death trap for those with hostile intents. That said it needs cleaned daily to impress any genuine visitors that may come by.

-The Yard. An indoor garden that's used for exercise purposes and for keeping the prisoners in while their cells are being cleaned or inspected. It needs to be watered and tended to daily, and when prisoners are in it they need to be watched.

-Low Security. This group of cells are for thieves, murders, and other 'normal' prisoners. They all need to be fed once in the morning and once in the evening, though their food is simple enough it doesn't require time and effort to cook. Once per week they need to be lead out of their cells and to The Yard and watched while another Maid cleans the cells.

-High Security. This group of iron boxes is for super powerful mutants and other bizarrely powerful and dangerous criminals. They only need fed once a day, and NOBODY cleans them. It's much too dangerous.

-Political Holding Cells. These are cells holding powerful political hostages that need to be taken care of properly and given the lap of luxury. When not in use they only need cleaned once a week. When in use the prisoner(s) need three cooked meals a day and their cells cleaned daily, though they may remain while this is being done rather than being taken to The Yard.

A day is broken down into nine segments most of the time, three morning, three afternoon and three evening. This gives a chance for nine tasks per day if you do nothing but work.

    Spoiler: Matsubisha Tsubasa
    Show

Matsubisha Tsubasa was born and raised to run the Hole. Being raised to serve The Core at a young age and being skilled in all matters military Tsubasa considered it her pride and honor to help her father maintain The Hole and it's many prisoners. With just her father and herself to keep it running it was hard work, but she was satisfied.

Unfortunately one Warden and one assistant was not enough to deal with all the dangers running a prisoner held. A jail break occurred, and though it was quashed her father was killed and Tsubasa herself was left permanently injured. She can't even dress herself of a morning, and is forced to walk around on crutches. Knowing she couldn't handle the job alone, she reluctantly let in outsiders to her Maids and help her with the running of The Hole.

Tsubasa herself is a 21 year old woman who wears a vermilion military uniform that matches the dull lights that line the walls of The Hole. She has orange eyes and navy hair. She's a proud woman who was raised from birth to be a leader, though she has an independent streak that often leads her into trouble considering her disability makes her dependent on others.

    Spoiler: Yelizaveta 'Liza' Durnovo
    Show

    Spoiler: Backstory
    Show

The Durnovo family were a notorious group of 'nobles' (read: Leaders of a group of heavily armed thugs) who had carved out a nice little fiefdom of their own outside The Core's control. Life under their control was... unpleasant. Not just for their 'citizens' (read: The people who had to pay their 'taxes' to avoid suffering 'mysterious' 'disappearances'), but for everyone they could get their hands on.

Yelizaveta, despite being a family member herself, was hardly immune to their depredations. Her mother, Natalia, died while she was six years old. Her father, Daniil, had barely confirmed Natalia had stopped moving by the time he started insisting (somewhat drunkenly... and violently) that Yelizaveta took her place.

It's probably best not to dwell too deeply about what she spent the next few years doing at home.

Still, she matured into a beautiful young woman, skilled (though mostly self-trained) in domestic tasks, blessed with the generous curves her father appreciated so, and possessed of a boundless reserve of (fake) optimism to cover just how much she wished she had any life but the one she'd found herself in.

Reading was one of the few things she was allowed to do with what little off time she was actually given. There weren't many books available, but there were a few - technical manuals, trade magazines, just the random things that no-one would think to save when the Durnovos came calling. Yelizaveta found herself slowly called towards a handful of books on architecture.

Her father spent the first few years trying to confiscate the books, magazines, and drawings as and when he could find them. But a few years in, the family wanted to raise a monument to one of their best raids yet. And wouldn't you know it, Yelizaveta just happened to have a couple of crude architectural drawings of something that just might fit...

From then on, the demand for her designs each time one of the family had some vanity project to build meant that she was free(ish) to practice her art. It didn't make up for her home life, but at least it was something.

Then 'beloved' Daniil lead a raid into The Core's territory. And never came back.

Fearful of some of the looks her uncles had been throwing her way, Yelizaveta quickly volunteered to go undercover to find her father. It wasn't hard, admittedly. People were only too glad to tell her tales of The Core's victory over the Durnovo raiders, and the final fate of the survivors - sent to The Hole for incarceration. Plus, she found a really easy way to get there herself - the moment she told someone her real surname, they had her arrested and sent to the Hole as well.

Thankfully she'd committed no crimes (beyond having a hated surname), so her stay as a prisoner was mercifully brief. Word came down that she was free to go, and the Master prepared to turn her free. But Yelizaveta had a better idea...

The maid's uniform, she thought, would take some getting used to. But it was worth it. The terms weren't bad - if she'd read the contract correctly, she'd even have enough time to build a proper career in architecture, although it would be necessary to conceal her real name while doing so... Plus, the master had promised her a favour for her service - the most valuable one anyone could have ever offered her. Even as she tried the uniform on for the first time (too snug around the rear, as such things always were...), her father was being lead from his cell. And down into the High Security wing. So long as she served, he'd remain confined amongst the monsters, never again to see the light of day...

...And for the first time since she was 6, Yelizaveta genuinely smiled.

    Name: Aranea Petromyz.

Life isn't always good when your born different. Not even the end of the world can change that. Heh, I should know. Was born normal enough, you see. Or at least appeared so. But, well, not everyone makes it through the background radiation O.k. You see this hide? Wasn't always like this. Some are kissed by the sun. Mine was the atom. Of course, what I could end up doing was more noticeable than the hard tan it gave me.
*Holds out hand. A Dark red substance crawls out from under her sleeve and begins to hover is a palm above her hand.*
Sure, it was something that I was in control of, but those backwater jerkwads wouldn't seem to accept that as an answer. And thus, I ended up one of the dime-dozen soon-to-be corpses of being a 'lone survivor'. But I was more determined than that. Even as that community wouldn't accept me, I managed to find one that did. Still an urchin, but at least on in a city. Well, more like the corpse of a city. You know how the surface places are. There, I saw them. The Maids. At first, I thought it seemed wasteful; housekeepers when a lot of us had trouble just surviving? But as I noticed them around more and more, I realized, they were more than just that. Actually, they appeared to have the most competent people around, I swear. Just seeing them...I knew what I wanted to be. Work hard, refit a low-profile body armor into a proper uniform...well, guess I succeeded. And now, here I am.

Armor: Ah yes, this piece of work. I made my own uniform, as one of my first attempts to develop the fine skills I would need. I know it looks a little bulky, and overly frilly, especially given my frame, but that's because of what it conceals. Behind this piece lies the heart of what formed it: a looted military wear. Good low-profile stuff, like I'm sure the Pre-War cops would have worn.Heck, as a bonus to it's protective properties, comes with a good bunch of extra pockets I can put extra stuff in. ((Figured this needed expansion, because 'armor' is a vague term))
((Didn't have much to go, but since you mentioned an apocalypse, I assumed somewhere between mad max and fallout type)).

    Spoiler: Mariemaia Lugria
    Show
    Spoiler: Description
    Show

Mariemaia is friendly and helpful, though careful to maintain an air of mystery about her and can come across as graceful and regal even. She obediently completes her duties without complaint and is quick to show appreciation to her second cousin, Tsubasa, for so readily taking her in. While she doesn't talk about it, it's clear from what little the others can infer that her mother passed away when she was little and that at present her family is going through extreme infighting and similar unpleasantness, hence her coming to serve the Master unless and until the whole thing blows over. She sunburns and tans VERY easily much to her displeasure, and can usually only be dragged outside with full protection against the sun. She frequently volunteers for kitchen work and would be considered a good cook if not for her habit of overcooking the food she makes. Still, that and the fact she has the strength of a wet noodle, are scarcely enough to make anyone resent her, and in fact, the one thing that does tend to annoy others is her habit of disappearing at times when not actively tasked with work. Where she goes and what she does no one knows, and she refuses to share any details of it. One other obvious thing is her strong, clear dislike of men. While she again refuses to explain her attitude, she flat out refuses to interact with them if at all possible and refuses to the point of losing her cool to be alone with them at any point.

The truth is that behind the mask of innocent beauty, Mariemaia is a deeply troubled and disturbed young woman due to the traumatic events in her life leading up to now. She was the granddaughter of the head of the Lugria family in Casimir, a Core-aligned island state famous for its immensely valuable mines within the island's long-extinct volcano. The Lugrias maintained a monopoly of said mines and, in turn, were the de facto rulers of the island. Her mother, a Japanese native who met her father while visting the island and had never left, died when Mariemaia was only very young. When her grandfather died a year later, her father, long his right-hand man, succeeded him as head of the family and leader of Casimir despite her aunt's attempts to rally the family into voting for her instead, a move which left her plotting and scheming against him afterwards. Unfortunately for Mariamaia, this new crushing responsibility for her father, on the heels of having lost her mother only a year earlier, left her more or less alone and in the care of family servants as her father buried himself in work both to attack the corruption that had crept into Casimir's commercial sector as well as avoiding his grief over his wife's death, which unfortunately included Mariamaia as well.

Alone and isolated (thanks to her father's strict instructions to her mentors and nannies to keep her out of the general public and the slowly growing faction of the family that had aligned against him), Mariemaia did her best to internalize her unhappiness and distress, but eventually it began to take its toll psychologically, and she began to act out. The first neurosis to develop was an unhealthy fascination with fire, and soon enough the servants learned to keep a close eye on her and a nearby extinguisher whenever there was a lit fireplace or other source of flames around. This by itself did not prove enough to satisfy her, and it was only when one of her older cousins took her on a high-speed joyride in her sports car that Mariamaia learned of a new passion. Soon enough, she'd managed to arrange for driving lessons, and within a few months, she had acquired the first of several fast-moving vehicles for her personal enjoyment. She also became more adept at slipping away from her minders, especially once she realized her father no longer even bothered pretending to pay attention to her actions at all. With a disguise and a fake name, she entered into the island's underground street racing scene. She was quite good at it and even managed to win the occasional race, helped along by a magical gift of foresight from her mother that, among other things, occasionally let her sense future events before they happened (a useful skill when moving at recklessly unsafe speeds through city streets).

Of course, even if her father did nothing about it, her illicit activities nevertheless eventually made their way to the ears of her aunt. Still scheming for a way to claim the position of head of the family for herself, she knew at once this could be the means to dethrone Mariamaia's father and began making her plans. A few weeks later, Mariemaia "accidentally" met a young, attractive, newcomer racer to the island, a male foreigner both cool and mysterious and who just happened to share all the same interests as she did (after careful coaching, of course). Mariemaia fell headlong into the trap, and within a month the two were lovers. It wasn't long afterwards that he slipped her a potent drug that would make her more... "open" to suggestion, before inviting a few of his "friends" over along with a carefully hidden video camera. What followed would prove both horrifyingly traumatic for her once the drug wore off hours later and devastating to her father once he was shown it. Already stressed from the grinding responsibilities of his job, when Mariamaia's aunt suddenly appeared with a mountain of evidence over her continued misdeeds with the illegal racing and culminating with the videotaped debauchery, it was enough to cause him to suffer a heart attack. With his sudden medical condition and the evidence of Mariemaia's actions, she was able to convince the morally conservative portion of the family to give her the slender majority of votes to take over. Unfortunately, when her first action was to allow the greedy multinational corporations Mariamaia's father had spent the past decade forcing out of Casimir to improve conditions for the lower classes back onto the island, what followed was a popular revolt against her, supported by angered members of the family enraged over her manipulations to steal the head position for herself.

In the midst of the rapidly spreading unrest which was moving towards full blown civil war, Mariemaia had sequestered herself away from everyone including her family's servants. Disgusted at what had happened to her and ashamed that she would be used as the tool to topple her father, she was suddenly without warning summoned to the small, private hospital where her father was recovering under heavy protection from friendly family supporters. The meeting was tense and highly emotional, but not the disapproving lecture she'd been expecting. Instead, as she tried to apologize to her father for disappointing him and causing all that happened, she was surprised when HE apologized to her, blaming himself for never being there for her and that she wasn't responsible for what he knew to be a nonconsensual act in the video. He then further explained that he was far from finished and would deal with his traitorous sister, but that in the meantime, he needed her to leave the island until it was pacified and safe once again. Luckily, there happened to be a place for Mariemaia to go. The daughter of her mother's cousin, Matsubisha Tsubasa, agreed to take Mariemaia in despite having never met her, and soon Mariemaia was on her way from the home she'd always known to the complete unknown.

    Uniform Color: Silver
    Eye Color: Beige
    Hair Color: Red

Special Quality 1: Fortuneteller. Within certain limits, you have the ability to predict the future. There are countless methods of divination.
Special Quality 2: Pyromaniac. You love setting fires. You might even set first to the mansion.
Maid Roots: Distant Relative. Although you are only distantly related to the master, your parents have put you in her care.
Stress Explosion: Racing. You get into whatever car or vehicle is handy and go for a drive at at least twice the legal speeding limit.
Maid Weapon: Stun gun. You keep a stun gun ready to attack enemies.
    Trauma: You destroyed your homeland.
(Possible) Physical Complex: Tanned Skin. Your pale skin becomes very easily tanned from the sun, like some kind of carouser, and you can't stand it. (Men and women who work in host/hostess clubs, and playboys/playgirls often have dark tans)
(Possible) Mental Complex: Attention from the Opposite Sex. You have a fear of being looked at by the opposite sex, and often wind up being rude because of it.

    Favor: 6
    Spirit: 30

Maid Power: Stalking. When you're following someone, there's no chance for them to detect you. Don't even bother rolling dice.

Honoria du Lac, of the Line of the Lance, one of the youngest to ever ascend to the Round Table of the Knights Templar, who shared the blood of Gallahad Grail-Finder, wakes up in the morning and wonders how the hell she got here.

Being a maid was never part of the plan of her life. She had had maids, had been served by maids. To fall from the lofty chair of the Siege Perilous to this was...demeaning.

Born in France, Honoria was a member of a family who traced their lineage back to Lancelot himself -some say through Guinevere, others through Nimue. Whatever the case, Honoria was raised to expect greatness. Her family were ancient brothers of the Knights Templar, and she joined their ranks herself.

The purpose of the Templars in this modern, apocalyptic world was simple: find the Holy Grail. Using the Waters of Avalon would, no doubt, heal this blasted world. So began the Secret Crusade, as each member of the Round Table (the innermost order of the Templars) used their resources to hunt it down, seize honor and glory for themselves in the process...and the position of Savior of the World.

    Unfortunately for her, Honoria won.

Using her families contacts, she tracked suspicious rumors to an abandoned temple in an overgrown forest. Within sat a cup, golden and pristine, and overflowing with silver water. Without thinking, she drained it one gulp.

When she came too, she was covered in wounds, Nd only then realized the error of her choice.

This was the temple of the Fisher King. The Fisher King had always been tied to the prosperity of the land...and now, so too was Honoria. In a ravaged and battered world, her own body was ravaged, covered in wounds that bled and would not heal. Whether the Grail had been real and found her unworthy, or a trap set by an angler was inconsequential: she was the new Fisher King.

Honorias immediate reaction was to exploit her new status. She was covered in bleeding wounds, and still alive; she may very well have been imortal! So, who could stop her from doing whatever she wanted?

The law, seemingly. She doesn't like to talk about it, but apparently one thing led to another, which led to substantial criminal charges and police pursuit.

Chased on all sides, now cursed, Honoria began to stumble through life, looking for some direction while trying to evade capture (or worse). Somehow, she ended up a maid in the Hole, almost entirely by accident. Still, it has it's advantages; why look in a prison for a fugitive after all?

    Spoiler
    Show
Proud, competitive and with a willfull streak, Honoria dislikes being told what to do. She has something of a temper, which she barely keeps restrained. At the same time, she is more cunning than one might expect; you didn't rise through an "honorable" society like the Knights Templar without being prepared to lie, cheat and steal.

On the other hand, she isn't as smart as she thinks, and far from personable. She has a Napoleon complex, about her height, her abilities, her lineage...everything. Then again, she is a descendant of Lancelot, and a member of the Knight Templars (even if she can't admit it). Her's has been the blood of royalty, heroes and more. Why shouldn't she be running things rather than one of these commoners?!

Though the Master is okay. She guesses.
Not that she likes her or anything.

I figured someone with a physical complex very being short fit the tsundere-type pretty well. Looking forward to starting!

Hopefully - hee's hoping to a fun game!

    ...and also.
I based Honoria off of really anachronistic Arthurian mythos, but I just realised:
    -Post apocalypse setting
-Secret society, who may have played a role in the above
-Wounds that will never heal, but don't seen to kill her.

I title her 'The Fisher Maid', but I just realised; she's a freakin' zombie.

"You should be with me, Master. These plebians are only after your looks; I'm interested in your brains.
    Your delicious brains..."

I think I'll be withdrawing from the game. I'm having a hard time "connecting" with my character, and a couple of things have piled on. I expected the selection to take more time, too. No sense in slowing you guys even more.

    Well...

If you still want to play, and Anubis Dread is happy with it, what I'd suggest is this: Roll up a fresh character if you don't like the current one. Take your time getting her right. Keep watching the IC thread. Then join the game at the start of Day 2.

If not... well, good luck with your things, whatever they are

I'd be alright with a reroll. I'm also a little surprised so few people decided to migrate, but I guess I shouldn't be considering some people were probably just curious about what they'd get. That said, the IC is now up!

Hopefully, it's clear Honoria is projecting suspicion on the others as a result of her Napoleon complex, rather than me saying "You guy's booby trapped me!"

If it isn't... I'm saying it here. Honoria is -basically- lying to herself.

BUT SHE WILL STILL SEEK VENGANCE.

Lucky for you, Yelizaveta's trying to live up to her 'Heroine' label by putting her duties above currying favour. So even though she spotted what Honoria's after, she's still going to get away with it. Though, I think, since you lost the opposed roll, that Honoria takes (8/3 = 2) stress from her failed attempt to assert dominance. Assuming I read the combat section correctly

Basically it means you can retroactively decide you saw something earlier. Like if it turns out something was stolen, you could go 'oh hey I saw the theft!'.

Incidentally I've been pretty patient, but we'll be pushing forward if no-one else is going to be doing anything else right now.
