Actually, my thinking corresponded more with Redcloak's words. The days of children seeing their parents murdered by the Guard are over!

wow. i don't think the city stands a chance with the bad guys in charge, especially being out numbered and out gunned. the last panel gave me a chuckle, i'm kind of wondering what happned to the order.
did their tower blow up? i'm really starting to miss the good guys.

It seems to me that Redcloak is probably wrong on three counts

a) The "no spying on each other" rule that the order of the scribble established means that nowhere in the city is there information on the other gates.

b) There are still a lot of warriors etc. belonging to the other Azure City nobility who can come back and contest ownership of the city. Assuming they've been scrying on the goings on I suspect they'll be coming back soon to protect their interests.

c) The current leader of the paladins is still alive and I'd assume they still have a number of the still out in the field. I doubt their order is finished.

The poor hobgoblin general died an offscreen death. Ouch :( The other nameless enemy commanders (mainly, Xykon's three brothers) got better than that. Well, at least Tsukiko lived. ...so far.

Heh, took me a while to figure out the receipt line (knew it had to do with someone screwing something up), but that's really an awesome joke. Hopefully for the badguys' sake anything that Shojo had on the other gates was kept in a place that WASN'T set on fire yet somehow.

Yeah, Xykon needs the boats to get to Girard's Gate.

Shojo knows what the other gates' defenses are (sorta). He mentioned it to the OOTS during the flashback. Girard's is illusions and Kraagar's is monsters.

Whether or not he wrote it down anywhere, however, is unknown.

As for the nobles.... I'd be surprised if they were strong enough to take back the city.
