I'm going to Canada today! Well, I'm going to Butchart Gardens. Close enough. Big family gathering just south of the border, and we're spilling over for a day. Lingering effects of food poisoning aside, I'm looking forward to pretty flowers, and also...Happy Canada Day, y'all!

There are several types of insect (and arachnid) that should, whenever possible, be sprayed with bleach. This is because they already feast on human blood, so why not help them become even more vampiric by making them pale and, more importantly, dead.

Forgot to tell that I watched Frozen with my godmother and her adorabubble daughter. It's so mediocre. I don't get the hype, I just don't. The best parts were when the kid was giggling with joy, getting closer to the TV out of excitement, gasping and oogling over one of the male characters. Oh yeah and that Kristoff character is an absolute hottie. But it just didn't save the movie.

To each their own. I quite like Frozen and it's aesthetic. The story isn't perfect but I like it. The trolls are dumb, obviously, but the idea that these parents just got blessed/cursed with a horrifying elemental child and they need to deal with it and do everything wrong, and how it leads to a "true love" story where love isn't the standard romantic love but instead familial love, it's pretty cool.

I once read- no joke- about a wife who went to see Frozen, loved it, and saw it multiple times. She then took her husband to see it... And he said "it's okay". She was so angry that she filed for divorce.
Now where did I read it? (Goes off to look for link)

Mirai Kuriyama's voice in the English dub is so high pitched and unbearable.

The first season of ΛLDNOΛH.ZERO (Aldnoah.Zero), on the other hand, is absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, Netflix only has the first season, so now I have to ask around to see if any of my friends have the DVD/BluRay.

No idea what that series is. 've heard of Aldnoah and have heard it is good. You should watch My Hero Academia.

Netflix describes it in two ways:
    1) They thought they were teenagers with typical problems, but they're much more: They're humanity's last hope.

    2) A teenage boy learns that he and his classmate are supernatural beings who must fight to protect humans from creatures that feed on negative emotions.

Let me just say that both of these descriptions are 100% inaccurate.

It's a super hero story. In a world where like 75% of the population has a special power called a Quirk, super heroes have become basically the standard. Our hero is Deku Midoriya, who doesn't have a Quirk, but wants to become a super hero. Things happen. It's really good, like a lot.

Compared to a lot of plots and all, I just feel like it was dissapointingly rushed. I know Disney films aren't exactly in the proper length criteria as it's a family movie... but it felt oddly fast comparing to other Disney flicks in the same genre. A lot of the scenes I feel like I had seen in trailers were pretty much the same length as well. Characters were mostly meh, some were ok.

Honestly, if you want to watch a good Disney film with a sort of family love, I really suggest Home on the Range. And it's a much better female powah! film in my opinion.

Personally I feel like a lot of the criticism comes from adults from an adult perspective. Ok, yeah, partly does my view ot Frozen as well... but part of my meh attitude towards that movie comes from the mega hype that it started and how even adults see it as some sort of a... revolutionary tale? I preferred watching three strong female characters with a dim-witted sidekick than I enjoyed watching Anna and Kristoff with a dim-witted sidekick. Beh. I just also generally hate 3D animation films in general, never liked them, not even as a kid.

Lilo and Stitch is the best, te problem is that it came out during Disney's time of relative obscurity and as such doesn't get NEARLY the recognition it deserves. Hopefully Moana fixes this by proxy.

Mega Millions is 449 million and climbing... I REALLY don't see how so many people can squander such big payouts. With proper budgeting 10 million should be enough to be set for life, right?

People's brains do weird things with windfalls of cash.

Especially if they're used to poverty or relative poverty.

But I'm pretty sure that you're still going to be taking home at least 10 million from a 449 million payout, even in the harshest of tax regimes?
