So the Wolf Spider is in fact a wolf spider, does that mean a spiderwolf would be the name for the bizarre wizard hybrid?

I mean, I know Wizards love messing with reality, but... why would you do things like that? Like the owlbear? All that INT means nothing with the WIS to back it up.

There's a bloke called Mordain the Fleshweaver in Eberron. He lives on the far side of Monster-Country Droaam. He can basically be described as "for SCIENCE!!" with transmutation magic. That's how you get owlbears.
