Pretty reliable according to Ashley, just that somewhat filtered by Uaid, although I did thought constructs can't have memories

Constructs can have memories (Timofey is the best example here), it's just that the Khert won't take those memories when the construct dies/breaks as they're not part of the human soul.

The biggest plot twist of Unsounded: a child actually got to survive.

    Nah. He's just resting.

Terribly faithful that bird Matty is. /Dead parrot sketch

But judging by the field spreader state, Matty is either dead or as good as dead.

Matty not. But Uaid is super-dead, confirmed. Look at the magic smoke leaving his disembodied eye.
As for Duane, he is now a headless horseman. Problem: there are no horses in this setting.

Based on "we thought we could control it"? Certainly an interesting possibility. The Senet beasts' unchanging, timelessness nature is an aspect of divinity, after all.

Anyway it's Tirnasday! Come out and play. Look at the size of their hot dog in panel #2!
There's nothing creepy about that little mardi-gras. No hint that everything is going to go pear-shaped at the earliest opportunity for general mayhem and disaster.

So yes, his Tirnasday went about as well as could be expected. Knock-Me-Down is still the master of non-awkward conversations. The gang is rushing to see the Queen, and Sette is still the all-time reigning champion of denial. And now, Quigley goes to the shrink.

Quigley gloats about how despicable he is, saying the most hurtful things possible to Matty, and then breaks down in tears when a decayed corpses tells him, "me too".

    Hooray!

I was flabbergasted when she wrote that the next chapter will be the final one*, but hey, I can't fault the pacing.

*In the current story. More stories will be told in this world.

I think she mentioned end of Book 1 (book in the imaginary hard cover book). The current story is part of three books.

It was gonna be three books but she's condensed in down to two. So, the story will end with the second book, hopefully titled something like "Unsounded II: Electric Boogaloo"

Juicy double update today giving us lots more about Sette. Or maybe just more questions really. Except people in the comments are acting like they knew this all ready; am I that blind? I just finished a re-read of the whole thing!

    Latest page.

We've been told before that Sette is weird on many points. She ages slowly (but she does age, so she's not a Sennet creature as those are unchanging), she can smell magic and ghosts, and she has weird effects on the Khert including one time falling into it from Duane's shadow. She's also suppressing a lot of trauma, as evidenced by those flashback panels that were drawn as happy childish scribbles over distressing-looking fragments drawn in the usual style.

    Sette is Tirna

She mentions a twin brother, and she is basically Tirna made flesh :P

I suspect the four gods are just some kind of magical programmers that made a game world they wanted to live in. And used the Khert as a save/load mechanism. It's possible it got out of hand and that the game is crashing hard rn.

That would make Lady Il the rogue AI and Ssael some NPC that realized that Khert was just a game.

Except now, she does the eating!

It's the twin brother part that's new to me, though I think it's just a logical conclusion I didn't quite reach. I had made note of baby Sette being repeatedly shown with a lion this time through, but didn't reach the right conclusion about what it meant. Without any other clues, I was thinking maybe it was supposed to be her father (not realizing it was a cub, or you know, thinking much about it not having a mane), but mostly I didn't know what it meant and was waiting for more info.

Lotsa questions though. Is Sette like Hellboy, her conception in the khert mirroring his in Hell, and they both waited until much later to be born into the real world?
