Default OOTS #357 - The Discussion Thread

    New comic is finally up.

Sorry about the technical difficulties; I'm once again the victim of my own regularity. I was unable to access the server to post the comic until now, even though it was done at 11:30. RawBear is looking into adjusting the server so this doesn't happen again.

Hehe. That was a good one. I'm respecting Belkar more and more.
I no longer actively read the forums, and probably won't respond to any PMs. I'm fine with people using my homebrew in anything, including fan-compilations and wikis, as long as you credit me.

    Nearly a first post.

Ahh, you've gotta love the adventurer economy. Wow, Belkar's really thinking outside the box here.
"...I worry that modern gaming is gradually shrinking the wide spectrum of gameplay mechanics into a single narrow red bar with "KILL" written on it sideways. Exploration, navigation, puzzles, platforming, all gradually shrinking away until only one thing remains, being taken by the hand from room to room, moving on only when nothing remains alive in each one." - Yhatzee Crosshaw

EDIT: Also interesting to note just how neat Belkar's writing is, even while he's running from a kobold!

Ingenius! Go belkar. That was really clever of him to think of that. Normally players just try to kill enemis by them selves.

First page? I guess I'm lucky some days.

It's nice to see Belkar outsmarting his enemies. I wonder if he raised his Int when he leveled? ;)

A I was doping to see this. This one really probes that there’s more than a way to enjoy destroying your enemies. Belkar find the way to see the Kobold’s blood and don’t mess with the curse all in a little piece of paper!!

    Yay for more DnD parody!

Brings back memories of poor little, uh, Blackwing, or whatever its name is: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0154.html

And what's with Mr. Green Tattoo wizard? Hold him still while I translate his face.

I was actually kinda hoping that Durkon's intervention would free up V to save Belkar, who would save Haley, etc. Oh well, so much for predictions.

    So typical of d&d towns.
    Halfling must = Good
    Kobold must = Evil
I've had that trouble with my kobold sorcerer character.

Mind you, I like the way the noble (Probably LG) kobold is taking on the CE Belkar.
