Yeah, that's pretty much how I would react too.

Its so rare that we get to see Haley revel in the destruction of her enemies.

Also, V continues to be my favorite character.

Nice to see all the command staff on the same page for once, the application of past experience to present problems, and the ending one-liners (Haley's and V's). Those were superb.

Well, even extended that spell only lasts about 30 rounds, it should have been cast when Haley was already in a position to fire.
That said, Greater Invisibility on the Rogue is one of the better damage dealing tricks a 3.5 wizard can use in core.

You can't really separate the melodramatic bombast from the snark at its expense, IMO.

Haley and V do play off each other well. Hopefully the battle won't be so intense that they can't share a moment. They're supposed to be longstanding friends, but that's rarely seen and almost never developed. Most recent example was the slave-springing in Bleedingham, a montage completely free of all dialogue.

Once played in a gestalt campaign with a Pixie Rogue. Haley is quite correct; she is Pointy Death Incarnate. "I have become Pointy Death, the Destroyer of Frost Giants" if she wants to go all Bhagavad Gita on them.

Nice to see Bandana and Roy in sync on planning.

V doesn't seem to be very excited about bringing death to dozens of creatures.

A bog standard frost giant with no levels has 133 HP. A level 15 archer rogue with a +5 bow does roughly 37 damage per sneak attack (more when you factor in critical hits). She has rapid shot, so she can sneak attack 4 times a round, but she's going up against 21 AC and with rapid shot may not hit with every shot.

It takes Haley slightly over a round to kill or disable a single unleveled giant on average. There are probably more giants than she has rounds. V will have to further up V's game to make this a walkover win (or throw some fire spells to take advantage of vulnerability to fire).

Edited to add: Also Haley will need to move to get most of those shots, flying is still a move action, which means that she won't get full attacks every round, she does have multi-shot, but sneak attack damage only applies to one shot so without the cold it's probably not worth the attack penalty.

Of course the giants might run in terror from invisible death from the sky... So it isn't hopeless either, just not a complete walkover.
