Local Speakeasy: Home Brewing 3.X Voting Thread III: Treacherous as the Sea

Welcome one and all to the voting thread for the Local Speakeasy: Home Brewing 3.X Competition III: Treacherous as the Sea. Voting will consist of each voter giving a first, a second, and a third place vote, as well as a vote for the categories of Most Original, Most Likely to See Play, and Best Use of Theme. Anyone can vote, and in fact, entrants must vote to qualify for victory.

A first place vote is worth three points, a second place vote is worth two points, and a third place vote is worth one point. Votes for the three other categories are each worth 1 point in their category. You may not vote for your own entry.

You are encouraged to include reason with your votes, though this is not absolutely required.

The entry that ends up with the most points wins the contest, and each category goes to the entry with the most votes in it.. Voting starts now and will continue until 11:59pm (Eastern Standard Time USA/Canada; GMT-5) on October 14th.

1st Place: Soul of the Sea. While personally I find that the 17th and 20th level abilities are a bit too much, and it has issues of trying to be a Favored Soul fix more than ACF (which admittedly it could use), Shy of 17th level I'd have no qualms allowing it in a game, and it gives some nice flavorful abilities.
2nd Place: Oceanic Artifacts. We could use more artifacts. Their high ego scores (notably high enough they needed a note to lower them to actually use them in a game) counted against them, though.
3rd Place: Oceanic Initiator Armory.
Most Original: Oceanic Initiator Armory.
Most Likely to See Play: Soul of the Sea.
Best Use of Theme: Oceanic Artifacts.

1st: Oceanic Initiator Armory - I just love it. I love how it melds with other solid homebrew, I love how it adds something to the item list instead of just being another bonus to tack on, its just lovely.
2nd: Soul of the Sea - Feels more like a Favored Soul than the Favored Soul does, and keeps it in theme, love it.
3rd: Pelagic Meldshaping - I like them even without knowing anything about meldshaping~
