I dunno, maybe a misspelling of marigold?

Wasn't Marigo one of those houses warriors like Pellan usually work for?
"What colours" being synonymous with "Who do you work for".
I mean, Marigo might come from marigold, but that's not P's question here.

I would have thought it's most likely between maroon and indigo.

(Or the Craftsguild Marigo that's been mentioned earlier. One of those.)

Check this game out! Or at least give it a thumbs up.

"You have them?" not "You have him?" or "You have it?" does the officer not know that Pellan is a man or is he talking about something else?

I figured he was referring to the whole group.

To be fair, I don't think Pellan's ever said anything about their gender. And Cat did mention that Pellan is a girl's name, so wouldn't be too shocked if Pellan actually turns out to be a girl and nobody guessed because they didn't have enough ranks in Heal.

I don't actually recall Pellan talking about his gender, but the context of that quote you just said makes it clear that at least this random temple dude thinks of Pellan as a man.

He mentions Marigo during his duel with the not-paladin whose name I forget... back on page 136.

Cat mentions them on page 78. The robbed cart belonged to them.
Or had their banner at least.
    Craftsguild Marigo.

    And yes.
    I just looked that up.

My guess was that this person is treating Pellan as neither male nor female but third/other: undead abomination. Anti-undead bigotry (if that's the right word) plus bureaucratic correctness.

Thanks everybody for reminding me of the guilds!

Eh, I think if it was the "undead abomination” thing again the captain would just use it, like Vis did.
Sure, Smurf-face was antagonizing Cat and company- not that he's entirely wrong about her choice in that regard -but it still feels like a odd thing to be polite about.

Not knowing whether P is a boy skeleton or a girl skeleton* seems more likely I think.

*And now I'm remembering that absolutely glorious exchange in Kingdom of the Wicked about Skulduggery's skin-condition and naked skeletons.
