Looks like that tower in Kadalesk/the falling site around it.
So definitely Stormfallen related and unless those crystals are good for something beyond housing smurfs probably not good for the miners*.

As much as it’s unlikely both due to narrative conventions and the reason people end up working here in the first place, I wouldn’t be overtly shocked if this actually had nothing to do with the protagonists. I mean it’s a mine, OOTS had miners die from a gas leak.
