Wow, looks like a critical fumble. Roy without his sword is not a good thing, and I confess to having rolled a 1 on the 1d6. I am surprised with this turn of events.
New art style still a joy to behold. (PS: the reason I keep mentioning art style upgrade is that I recently purchased Paladin Blues, DSTP, and BRITF pdf's and by going through them at a leisurely pace, am taking note at how the art style has upgraded over time).

    Otherwise ...
Mateo: Good helmsman in a tough situation, most excellent move to call out "brace for impact" to the rest of the crew. (IRL, you can get "standby for heavy rolls" when a ship is maneuvering in heavy seas ... so +1 on the nautical verisimilitude! )

Andi: Still screwing up, still winging it ... still arguing with others ...

Roy: One giant down, one to go, but ... oops ... tripping over the giant he just killed as the Mechane hits that ridge ...

    Mechane: one more bruise ...

Lady Giant: while a villain, I like how she's large and in charge, so to speak.

    Good strip!

Fecal matter has officially made contact with Mechane's propellers, fellas.

    Also,

Thanks. I think I need to start lashing it to my hand.

Yes Roy, you should have done just that.

And with one last dumb decision, Andi dooms the rest of the crew to a axe-filled death. Good work. You really proved yourself today.

    When's that second mutiny coming?

As for Roy, wow that is spectacularly bad. I wonder if there's a spell to recover lost equipment because that sword is going to be next to impossible to find without using magical means and there isn't going to be time to look for it with that Vampire on the verge of conquering the world Priests' votes.

Lady Giant: Can she replace Durkon for the time being? I like her even though she is a villain. Just need to ween her off the evil thing.

More seriously: Congrats Andi, good chance you just hosed the entire prime material plane over your ego. *slow clap.* Way. To. Go. Idiot.

Fleeing panicked through unknown territory at 2/3 full speed. Waiting for someone to yell "Hey there are no giants outside right now! Let's slow down a little!" But nope, Andi would just decide to speed up.

    A good strip.

I have a pet peeve about Roy dropping his sword at dramatic moments, as, in the context of D&D, it plays into the Dumb Fighters stereotype.

Don't worry Roy, you've had worse. I mean, you've fallen from higher, right?

Also, Andi, I thought as an engineer, you at least know a few things about flying, right? right?

I guess we all learned a valuable lesson here:

ETA: Does anyone else think this would be a great time for Roy's sword to manifest the Returning property?

I think it's down to Elan. V doesn't have Fly prepared again and the spell from Haley's wand probably isn't good for long enough to catch up with the airship (provided they can even go fast enough and track the ship).

Good job Andi, you've doomed everyone because you can't keep your ego in check! But of course she won't see it that way because I bet she's the type to never accept responsibility for anything. God I hate people like her.

Eh, I'll bite. I'll say Elan fell off the ship at roughly the same time as Roy's sword. Hopefully Elan doesn't land ON the sword.

Seems there's no way to refill the gas in a hurry. I'm disappointed.

I just figured that only the giants are drawn on large plans of The Mechane. I hope Elan didn't fizzled another casting!

It's not really the Dumb Fighter stereotype at play. More the "3.5 hates martials" stereotype, I'd say.
