Yes! Menja was fun to play and the setting was interesting. I was caught off guard a few times, which was nice. I'm a little bummed I missed the only combat of the adventure, but that was my own doing, so I can't complain.

Did the NPC's mostly make sense?

Yep. Motivations that made sense (even if we didn't/don't have all the pieces, necessarily), a variety of personalities, etc.

Is there anything you'd like to see more of?

Not particularly. I know this isn't a useful critique, but I enjoyed the adventure would have no problem with a series just like that.

Yes I did have fun. The enemies seemed a little strong, but then again they weren't really enemies.

The NPC's and their motivation made sense.
What I'd like to see more of, is our standing the world. Like we're level 12 monsters, but our main interaction was with a level 19 caster. Are they just insanely powerful, or are we small fish now thrown into a larger pond.
I'd like less players to leave, but that's not really your fault.

The one you ended up fighting was pretty much soloed, so....

That guy was just insanely powerful - I took a Great Wyrm Brass Dragon and an Adamantine Golem, slammed them together, then tossed a CR +1 template (trompe l'eoil) on top for good measure. He was built specifically to find a way to handle an ancient lich that didn't have a phylactery anyone was willing to destroy. Problem was similar. That said:

1) The original plan was for a party of six, which included a few melee brutes.
2) If you had made it a combat encounter: (e.g., traced back the original beast from the site of the attack, and just brute-forced your way in):
a) It would have been a four-combat dungeon (Taiotech hanging around the entrance as a warm-up, the four painters - a Bard, an Oracle, a Sorcerer, and a Paladin), Solution guarding the princess, and finally Problem (after you got the princess out, he would have taken over, and it'd be #3).
b) Solution would have been exhausted during the fight (tight timeline - all of his spell slots are designated for something), and taking the penalty for fighting nonlethally (he doesn't like killing people).
c) Problem would also have been exhausted (no opportunity to refresh spells after coming back from the dead).

You couldn't have kept either Solution or Problem down, but you could definitely have put them both down if we'd kept the party we started with. It just would have been two very difficult fights.

I'd like less players to leave, but that's not really your fault.

True, but there's a difference between an alignment (Neutral, or Good, or whatever) and a Paladin, who is bound to their alignment and will sway the party in a certain direction fairly often. As the Paladin, though, if y'all are fine with that compromise, then so am I, of course.

I'd like Quill in the game for reasons not related to the character sheet. Specifically, Gunhaven was around at the original recruitment, tried to run group 2's first adventure, was the last person to post IC in group 2, and was the only one to respond when I dropped a note in their OOC asking if the game was still running. The player appears to be invested in gaming and have some staying power. Additionally, Gunhaven made pretty well done IC posts.
