They have no level adjustment, suggesting they're not suitable for player characters.
The vampire spawn monster class in Libris Mortis suggests they have an LA of +4, though.Last edited by Jasdoif; 2007-07-30 at 07:28 PM. Reason: monster class, racial class...one of those.

Well neither are Vampires/Elite Vampires, but they have a LA of +5 and +8.

Vampire Spawn are thought controlled slaves of vampires, which are instead free willed beings. Vampire spawn become free willed when their master dies and they become vampires themselves. Originally Posted by Raistlin1040
