Suga chops into the zombie, neatly severing its right arm and part of its side. It lurches but remains standing. Then the arm Suga cut off crawls forward and claws at his ankle.

Feagon's light burns all the undead you can see, but the zombies all remain standing. Tarak smashes the deathlock, and the glow in its eyes fades.

Two of the intact zombies shift position. Four of them attack Suga, while one attacks Tarak again.

Suga parried one arm of the injured zombie but the arm on the ground was the one that dug into his ankle. Surprised it was still standing after his slashing and Feagon's divine power, Suga called up his Iron Heart discipline again and slashed that zombie and the one on the other side of him that also threatened Feagon.

Suga's axe slashes through the decapitated one, reducing it to shreds which finally stop moving, and chop the legs off another one, which pulls itself forward to attack as its legs remain standing. Feagon's morningstar fails to get through his target's natural (or, rather, horrifyingly unnatural) defenses. Tarak's blows strike home, but their effect is greatly dulled by the creature's tough hide. Celesta, meanwhile, can observe everything happening in front of her, but cannot move. The zombies retaliate, seeming unconcerned by the damage inflicted on them so far.
