Weapons and items are moved off of the sleeper (NOT the armor), and Rezah uses his silk rope for tying up the Gray Maiden.

Here is what the fallen had.

"I suggest we leave the sleeper here and let's explore the doors in this room. North might be the best", says Iluvar.

The Scribe nods, not wanting to waste time with a committee. "Good advice. Everyone form up and get ready."

The smaller octagonal chambers to the north, south, and west are cells—the doors separating them from the main room are iron doors with narrow sliding slats at eye level that allow for the passage of a plate of food or a saucer of water. The doors feature rotating wheels that can be turned to lock them in place—unlocking a door from the main room's side is an FRA, but from within the cell, unlocking the door is impossible, as there are simply no moving parts available to disable. Currently, none of these cells are occupied. The party checks them all, fully, including trap checks of door and so forth, for 56 minutes.

After that, The Scribe has the party do a full-in check of this massive room ... to hold off on dealing with the double doors to the SW. That takes a solid 1-1/2 to search all of this massive room, the walls, around the base of stairs and pillar, and so forth, so 2-1/2 hours. The only active effect still running on anyone is Telgarana's ablative barrier.

It's good that the party went all-in ... Pathfinders, after all ... because there is a cleverly hidden secret door to the southeast.

So, a secret door to the southeast, and not-secret pair of double doors to the southwest. Oh, and the massive spiral staircase going up, up, up and out of sight.

What does the party recommend?

"Considering the pains they took to hide this door, I suggest we check it out next."

The dead gray Maiden is moved out of the way. The other Gray Maiden (who woke up long ago, after only a minutes), is likewise helped and moved out of line of the secret door.

The door is checked safe and untrapped, and then Fallon steps back and allows Telgarana the honor of opening the door.

S28: Iluvar, you didn't hear anything so much as your highly developed sixth sense has noted danger. No sooner does Telgarana open the secret door than you see several clouds of crimson vapor, the stench of fresh blood wafting forth to assault your nostrils. What do you do?

S28: Iluvar shouts in alarm before casting a spell on himself.

S27-9: And now the bad begins. These strange floating, blood vapors start to pour into this room. Fallon tries to stab at one as The Scribe tags one for 10, and Telgarana grazes it for 8. The Scribe hits the next one to come through for 11 as Fallon then gets the same for 9. One of them by the door just drifts closer and a tendril touches Telgarana in her lower abdomen, opening up a bleeding wound from which blood is siphoned forth for 1 CON (+1d6 bleed), which in turn causes her to take 7 damage from the blood loss (her ablative barrier does nothing against this). Another comes in that Scribe stabs for 13, and Fallon hits for 15. A fifth enters that the Scribe hits for 12 and Fallon pokes for 10. A sixth and last one comes through, and the Scribe was too occupied with the others, but Fallon - made of unbelievable speed -still gets off a sixth AOO that strikes for 14.

He then unleashes a literal flurry of blows in the form of three palm strikes and a leaping kick that causes pink to practically explode in a gory mess all over himself, Fallon, and the Scribe.

R1T26: Fallon instantly flits up and over to get a vertical as well as horizontal line on the one threatening Rezah. She stabs, and her rapier only grazes the flying blood vapor for 9.

R1T26-25: Purple reaches forth a tendril to touch Iluvar in the belly for 3 CON (+1d6 bleed)! Red touches a tendril To Telly's chest, but she resists a sucking chest wound to only take 3 CON + 1 + 5 NL. Brown floats to where Pink was, but Iluvar dodges the incoming tendril.

R1T16: The Scribe calls out, "Rezah, burst of healing to stop the bleeding! Everyone else, defensive stance!" and then he begins calling out how previous Pathfinders got out of bloodier situations than this.

R1T14: Blue moves away from the peril of a flank to the outskirts of the combat and bumps against Fallon for 2 CON (+1d6 bleed).

R1T11: Telgarana, you just managed to avoid a sucking chest wound from these blood-sucking monstrosities. You take 2 bleed (ablative barrier doesn't stop that). The blood drain hurts, but you aren't doing badly, all things considered. The Scribe's words are putting a fire in your belly for a fight. What do you do?

You notice that the fire seemed to have a particularly pronounced effect on the creature, with blood boiling or coagulating and causing it more harm.

Seeing the relative effect of one of her energies, she calls out, "These things really don't like fire! Burn them!"

R1T9: Green attacks Fallon, but she uses her current height advantage to good effect as she pulls her feet up quickly.

R1T8: Rezah shakes his head. "I am sorry, but not yet. There are too many of them, and too wounded are they, that I will help them more than us. But in the meantime, I will help as I may. Fallon, come closer to the ground that I may reach you."

He steps down by Iluvar and concentrates on a spell and touches his Pharasmin peer. Iluvar was not actually wounded, but the bleeding does stop.

R1T2: Erima, what do you do?

R1T2: Erima slides aside, as her shape extends outward, and as she does so, insects appear crawling all over Blue and Green, Fallon, The Scribe, and Rezah. They last only as long as it takes Erima to change shape before disappearing. Erima then slashes at one of the creatures. It is likely thanks to The Scribe's exhortations that she is able to push against the creature's strange resistance, and she does 30.

At the end of the round, to add a complication, the double doors to the west open.

R2T28: "More incoming! Focus on the Vampire Mists first!" Iluvar calls out. He moves to the south quickly in order to have his back against the wall going in his crane style attack mode. He gives a triple-palm strike to Brown, which is enough to make the vampiric mist explode, splattering blood everywhere (Iluvar, Rezah, The Scribe).

R2T26: Fallon takes 2 bleed while she hovers, maintaining her height advantage. She winds up to poke Blue as hard as she can, and when she strikes it, it splashes blood all over herself and Erima.

R2T26-25: Purple fails to touch Iluvar as Red fails to touch Telly.

R2T21-19: Three Gray Maidens enter in from the southwestern room. Blue charges Rezah with a telling blow to his chest for 12. Green maneuvers out and despite Iluvar's brilliant defense, strikes him in the right knee with her longsword for 11. Brown maneuvers around to threaten Iluvar and Rezah.

R2T16: The Scribe continues to give heart to his allies with tales of great Pathfinders. He takes a brief pause to make arcane gestures with one hand and then make his mouth looks like a soundless scream towards Red vampiric mist. Red vampiric mist takes 6 sonic, and its form shakes and ripples as if disrupted in some way.

R2T11: Telly, you take 3 bleed. You have flaming/ frost on your black blade and you were fighting defensively. What do you do?

R2T11: "Let's bring in some partners," says Telly as she carefully casts a spell, and soon no less than 7 total Tellies-Garana warp and mix and pull apart and otherwise confound things. Though no longer being cautious, her focus was on her spellcasting. Still, were it not for the Scribe's stories, she likely would not have succeeded where she does, as her katana scores through the mist, which destroys it in a splash and a spray of blood, including spashing Telly pretty well.

R2T9: The vampiric mist (Green) by Erima and Fallon must have really taken notice of the half-orc growing to the size of a carriage, because it doesn't keep on Fallon. Instead, a tendril hits Erima in the head, and sucks out blood for 2 CON (+1d6 bleed) while both girls note that the infusion of blood seems to help it.

R2T8: Rezah swaps his scimitar briefly into his shield hand while he puts a hand on his chest, his face mark glowing, and he gets 10 healing. He then just puts his hand on Erima's thigh to do the same thing, this stopping her bleeding.

R2T3: A fourth gray maiden (Red) comes and faces off against Iluvar.

With a single palm strike, his vampiric mist opponent explodes in blood all over himself and one of the Gray Maidens. He spins, interrupting his attack sequence, before realizing it takes more focus than expected to use an ability he had thought to use.

R3T26: Fallon takes 5 bleed. She hovers and stabs the remaining vampirirc mist for 13.

R3T21-19: Gray Maiden-Blue strikes Rezah in the chest for 10. Green misses Iluvar wildly. Brown steps down to flank Iluvar in challenge. Her sword strikes him in his lower back for 9.

R3T16: The Scribe continues his Pathfinder stories for his teammates. He casts the same spell as previously, mouthlessly screaming at the last mist. The mist's inner blood vibrates to a boil before exploding all over Fallon, Erima, and Telgarana. He then steps south to create a fighting line with Rezah and Telgarana.

R3T11: Telly, you take 4 bleed. Your blade leads with red heat, even as the middle-blade is rimed with ice. What do you do?

R3T11: Telly steps down to flank the flanker with Iluvar, taunting Brown by saying, "You forgot to say, 'May I?'"

She unleashes a full combination of her powers against the Gray Maiden. She gives careful focus to her spell, so much so that her first attack is deflected by the armor, rather than the metal armor soaking in the spell. Telly simply uses that as a probing strike to guide her to a brilliant slash against the Gray Maiden's bevor for 17 + 42 electricity + 6 fire + 6 cold.

The Gray Maiden is killed and beheaded, leaving Telly to perform a handless chiburi in lieu of her third attack. Unfortunately, a lot of the blood and gore - that which wasn't burned completely off - is burnt onto the blade until she can clean it properly.

R3T8: Rezah keeps his focus against his enemy, briefly swapping his scimitar to his shield hand to cast a spell and reach a hand out to touch Blue on her thigh for with a crit in the form of a guarded strike that does 39 NE. He then takes scimitar back in hand and steps down to Telly.

R3T3: Red attacks, but Iluvar deflects the side of her blade.

R3T2: Erima, you realize your mistake when you metamorphosed ... but you can blame it on blood loss, and nobody else needs to know. What do you do?
