My guess is that only certain models will have access to Relics on their Datasheet.

Well Nids are actually quite good now (yay Bug Carpet!!) mostly cuz hordes are back. So i guess more accurately it would be "Out with the Old, in with the hordes." But Nids works because they are the first ting i think of when i hear 40k Horde army.

Hive Guard and Carnifexes are largely sold out, Exocrines are in short supply. Swarm boxes are a non-starter. Heck I watched some guy spend $600 on nids the day 8e dropped, cleaned the store right out. Yeah, nids are in demand.

Not sure if stats can be anecdotal, but here's a collection of results from Dakka:

I'm not sure how well this matches with various peoples experiences, but it is interesting as there's a fairly decent number of games in there for many factions so far and there's also a very clearly defined T1 cutoff (and T0 if you don't discount the sisters results as an anomaly) while it's a slow decline into irrelevance after that. I would have expected marines to be higher with big blue and the stormraven patrol however.

Why is fallen even on the list? its not an army.

"Fallen" has 1 unique HQ and 1 elite choice. that's it.

I refuse to believe you found 22 games with one player playing ONLY these, and somehow 10 of them resulted in a win, unless they are against other "fallen".

This begs the question of how other armies are counted to begin with, because if you got so many who are clearly mismarked as fallen, how many others are mismarked? and how could mismarks change the value of some armies?

Given that one of the guys at my old club played a fallen army, then I don't see the problem. Why are IK on the list? Outside of FW, they basically only have 1 unit with 5 different weapon options? Oh, wait, because people play them all the time. Given the size of the collection base, I'm surprised that I don't see Assassins up there too. I know a couple of people who played pure assassins in 7th, and 1 of them continually did reasonably well.

As an aside, our local seemed to have a dispropotionate amount of weird army choices that rarely get seen by the wider community. I guess we're just weird even in a hobby full of weirdos (no offence).

    First reaction:

I have been waiting to use that for a long time, and im sure there are people who have waited longer

Second reaction: I too am surprised that SM are as low as they are, on that note im surprised Orks are that low, what with Kommandoes and Stormboyz being as cheap and spammable as they are id figured we'd do better. Oh well.

But seriously, SoB with a w/l ratio of 4? Thats insane.

Edit: I now want to petition that the next thread be named "Haters gonna burn"

Were Allies used at any point? Or were those 'pure' armies?
    How many Points?
    Who played against who?
Maelstrom or Eternal War? Or both? ...Wouldn't that be apples and oranges?
How 'competitive' was each list? Were seals being clubbed?

It is reporting from random people on Dakka Dakka, so it is a grab bag of what people are playing, no consistent requirements.

It's not a useful margin of estimating an army's ability then. Is that pure sisters? Is that just spammed sisters and Bobby G leading them? Why are the tau so low on the list, did they just do that badly? Without accurate information and all armies operating under similar limits (same points for each, ideally one army list from each with round robin matches), then knowing that w/l is pointless speculation.
