If it gets powerful enough, it may be the counter to the Court's Omega Project.

So she's basically making a copy of the system her mother made for her father.

I rather suspect that between attunements, the arkendish is a fruit bowl, or something very similar.

I think they are referencing erfworld; another webcomic, but I'm not entirely sure as I don't read it regularly myself.

Biggest play I ever made: "I want to eat something over there." Anticipated the trope of "being able to move" that you see in all stories these days.

Ah, that makes sense. I read the first book (the part that is on this website) several years back, but didn't read any of the comic on erfworld.com. It's still on my list of comics to read eventually, though.

    Merry Christmas!

    Crambler? What?

I don't understand what Kat is planning to do here, and I don't get what she wants to learn, but I see potential for considerable disaster.

Why is Kat a student at GC? If she can do all these things, why isn't she a teacher instead?

She's a prodigy in the field of robotics, but she still needs to learn chemistry, history, geography, etc. All the Queslet students seem to be like that - Paz's more-or-less a fully qualified vet, for example.

The word 'crambler' is looming increasingly large here. Can someone provide a definition, since the Internet can't?

OK, now I can sort of understand WHY Kat is doing this ("for SCIENCE!"), but how she intends to do it still confuses me.

    "Perfectly safe"

Seriously, if there was any chance this wasn't going to go horribly wrong, I think Kat killed it right there. She may be a robotics genius, but it's clear she needs a few lessons in how not to ask the fates to stomp you in the face.

    *****
Edited to Add: The fact that it doesn't seem to have gone horribly wrong is not comforting me. Just ask Elan about the Laws of Narration. Maybe Rey is about to start mutating into a giant fly.

I hope not. Most of last chapter was very boring and this chapter has been very boring so far. Something bad needs to happen soon to make things a little interesting.

    HAH! It HAS done something!

Although, whether Kat has just created the latest computer virus or something more dire remains to be seen. I'm betting on dire.
    *****

Edited to Add: OK, I was wrong. I was expecting Kat to realize she had introduced magical mayhem into the court's computers, possibly turning her new, super-computer into a maniacal wizard.

You don't have to be Elan to be seriously disappointed at the lack of plot development here.

OK, let's see. We've got mysterious finger-tips / claws, manipulating scenes of Annie at different times (as shown by the hair length) and of Ysengrin raging madly on a background of "I HATE THEM"s.

I think we're looking at Coyote poking through the memories he's taken from Ysengrin. And with luck, we'll find out what he's up to, doing that. If it's for good or evil or both.

    Define 'good'.

We've gotten considerable character development and insight, especially with regards Tony and why oh why Surma chose this absolute jerk over Eglamore. There have also been events which I think are putting in place the building blocks for a major occurance. But there hasn't been a lot of drama and action, and many people miss that...

We also haven't gotten a lot of mysteries resolved. :(

That depends entirely on how much you enjoy reading about Anthony Carver.

About two months ago, GC wrapped up a 44 page flashback comic about him hanging out with Surma in a jungle and absolutely nothing interesting happened. It was miserable.
Spoiler: I've checked out the spoiler thoroughly and there's no actual erotic Harry Potter fanfiction

My first thought on the new comic was that it was Annie's anger, but her anger is usually shown as her fire self. Ysengrim makes a lot more sense, but it leaves me more confused about what's going on.

However, if this does have anything to do with what was going on inside of Annie, giving Rey back to her control might have been a very, very bad idea. Maybe it still will be.

Definitely Ysengrin. And those claws, coming in from the sides, are Coyote's. So I suspect these are memories that Coyote took from Ysengrin, like on this page.

Edit: compare that with the chapter title and the white sphere on the title page, and I think it's pretty clear.

Reynardine, in his original form, is a red fox. I'm assuming he would appear in either his red or white shape even if this is some inner-self.
