because I'm a huge nerd, I'm gonna go through the UA subclasses to speculate what's coming in Xanathar's Guide to Everything. They've said it's the "25 most popular" UA subclasses, so what does that mean?

Right now, there are 46 UA subclasses. Let's start with what it probably isn't:

*Modern Magic has 3, which takes us down to 43.

It strikes me that if WotC have released a revised version, it means they're working on balance, which means it's more likely to appear again later (since we know they're working on it). This includes:

* Path of the Ancestral Guardian (barbarian)
* College of Swords (bard)
* Arcane Archer (fighter)
* Way of the Kensei (monk)
* Favoured Soul (sorcerer)
* Circle of the Shepherd (druid)
* Cavalier (fighter)
* Oath of Conquest (paladin)
* The Celestial (warlock)

Which is one for every class except cleric, ranger and rogue. Kinda weird no class (except Fighter) has had two revised subclasses -- again I know this is pure speculation but that doesn't strike me as a coincidence. Working on that logic, that's 9/25. There's 12 classes, so most likely we're looking at 2 subclasses per class, with somebody (sorcerer? No idea) getting a third.

There's also a handful of others confirmed, which are in green.

Let's break it down further:

We got a blackguard in SCAG , though the paladin UA did come out about a month after the SCAG release; not sure how to feel about Treachery appearing.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say I think the Raven Queen is the mostly likely other one to appear -- with the Celestial there's a nice light/dark pairing, both of them offer very different ways to play the class, and the Raven Queen has a lot more presence in the fluff than the others.

Raven Queen is setting specific, I have a hard time picturing it appearing in a FR book (without a lot of generalization and stripping off the fluff anyways... like 'reaper pact' or 'death pact')

Order domain has also been published in Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica (along with the Druids' Circle of Spores) which is just as much official material as PHB and the rest; even though Ravnica is one of the worlds of Magic: the Gathering.

The worlds of Magic: the Gathering have been officially established as part of the whole D&D multiverse, so there's no reason to exclude them from the list.

Hi, I don’t know if you’re aware but wizards of the coast has released a ton of new UA subclasses in the past couple months. Outside of that, artificer has been made an official class in the new sourcebook. I think they would all make useful add-ons to the list, but I understand if you you’re too busy with the holiday season and all.
I love this list have used it so much, thank you for the hard work.
