Aces & Eights
A while (quite a while) back I had asked about Western themed PnP RPGs. An "on the horizon" title was Aces & Eights. It looked interesting. I didn't fully understand it because all I had to compare it against was D&D (so a classless system with no "leveling" was hard to understand). My question is, now that it has been released, is there anyone here who is the obsessive compulsive type who has to buy the newest system and check it out? Or does anyone have trusted review sites they could link to?

Re: Aces & Eights
I haven't seen it myself, but:
1. My friends got ahold of the book and they couldn't stop talking about it.
2. It's made by Kenzer & Co., which has always put out good (if underrated) stuff IMO.
3. They spend a couple pages discussing it in Knight of the Dinner Table (a Kenzer comics magazine).
Given those, I'd say give it a shot.

Re: Aces & Eights
I have heard very good things about it. That's about all I can say, though. I would definitley play if someone ran a Deadwood style game.
It is a joyful thing indeed to hold intimate converse with a man after one’s own heart, chatting without reserve about things of interest or the fleeting topics of the world; but such, alas, are few and far between.
