I need Recomendations or Suggestions!
Okay, I've been wanting to get into D&D for like... 10 years now, and finally I have a somewhat tenious group (the closest member living 12 miles away, the next closest living 30 miles away) I own a somewhat outdated 3E Players Handbook and the 3.x Edition DM's Handbook, my total experience equates to a couple of ad-drab missions played in the 3rd Edition starting adventure (to which I have recently lost the guide to) and a ton of experience under the old rules for Warhammer RPing.
So anyways, our group met for a random mission, the first time, it went somewhat terribly, one was playing a Ranger who had no Favoured Enemy and the Druid had no Spells, the AoO rules had been flung out of the window, in essence it was a terrible start, so for like the past... 12 weeks or so I've been coming up with an actual world with which to put my players into, then gave up halfway when I realised that it wasn't a setting, is a rewrite of all the rules.
So, what I need, obviously, is a place to start, from there I can take my players off to places, here's the catch, I have zero money, I mean nothing to my name, no job and a somewhat mediocre waged single parent occasionally tossing me the coinage to buy Mars Planets and Golden Virginia, the onlky money I can get is from Birthdays and on Christmas, however there are only two places to get D&D stuff in Ipswich, one is Waterstones which has a very limited range, and the second is an indie shop, the manager of which scares me a little, so naturally most of my money goes towards Warhammer.
Any recomendations for how I can get a good campaign started that involves no money and a really good hook to make it worth my players forking out £6.90 to visit me for?

You could also try Necromancer Games for two or three Free Downloadable Adventures, Wizards for their quarterly Fan Magazine and Mongoose Publishing for their free Magazine. Plenty of reading in those resources, though not all will be useful.
It is a joyful thing indeed to hold intimate converse with a man after one’s own heart, chatting without reserve about things of interest or the fleeting topics of the world; but such, alas, are few and far between.
