She explicitly Awakened during Hammerchlorians. Jerry gave her a spellbook and everything--her first new-spell was the abillity to summon Stinhammers without having to follow the rules*

Playing with Dolls established, Via Tedd, that her "summer magic dupes of what I locked in a chest spell" has evolved to augment the "Fairy summoning" overlap letting her adjust control and feedback and even project her consciousness--the ending also showed her with three dolls when it had previously been implied that she could only summon one thing from the chest at the time, and Sister III showed that Susan's "summon from the chest" spell had for sure been inproved--weapons she summons are now coated in an energy aura that is extra harmful to abberations above and beyond their vulnerabillity to conjured weapons. Spells gaining new properties is a function of "leveling up," and that new function in particular very strongly represents part of Susan's perosnality--having been made to fight the French vampire traumatized the hell out of Susan and is as big a defining moment in her life as walking in on her Dad with the blonde. We learned about the weapons having that new property at the same time we learned that just hearing that Vampires were in Mopperville made Susan summon a sword on isntinct(Indicating that not only was it a traumatic expeirnace, but that it gave her a rather severe PTSD trigger.)

So yes, Susna is awakened and her spell progresion seems to follow normal rules.

I think her summoning affinity makes it so that her spells lean towards being summoning spells. With that said I would think that she would at least have some sort of summon sanitizer spell.

Not in the FAQ, where each of them is specifically a D&D class. If she's the rogue, she doesn't have any magic for the duration of the scene.

...We're in a non-canon Q&A section if you missed it. The Susan in the most recent comic seems to be some sort of Elf Ranger, judging by the ears and what little of the outfit I can see.

If we really want just a reference to the fact that one of the main characters turns into a squirrel (without unfortunate implications), it should be something like, "El Goonish ShiVe: Look, Squirrel!"

I think that it would be cool to signal that a major arc is over (Magus got his body back, Pandora was forced to reset, Magic did its thing, Susan and Diane and Raven discovered about each other, Voltaire managed to make his point to the other immortals, Ted isn't a hobbyist any more...)
