Default What is a good ""Paranoid Wizard Build"?

I've heard lots about how people can play an "untouchable" wizard, with contingencies and the like, does anyone know the/a build for it?

Mate, you only waited two hours before becoming impatient enough to make a bump-post?

Also, what edition of D&D are you talking about? I suspect that it's 3.5, but I'd recommend moving it to the appropriate subforum no matter what edition you're using.

Finally, WHY do you want to learn about this build? Is it just curiosity, do you want to prove a point to a friend, do you genuinely plan to use it in a game, or is it something else?

Curiosity, I like looking at the insane builds people invent, and when I don't it usually gets lost among other threads. Probably 3.5, but I'm good for all versions.
