I suspect we'll see the Elder and her daughter in the next strip. But what I want to know is if any of the three dwarves in bas-relief on the council chambers constitute a second appearance of Dvalin, First King of the Dwarves. We may never know. But there is a crown over the door.

Dvalinn is a demi-god. But judging by their proportions, I took them for dwarves. We know of only one dwarven demi-god, while the rest seem to take human proportions. Of course we've never actually seen Dvalin, so we'll probably never get confirmation if one of those reliefs is him.

My guess is that they are clan-founders. This is after all the council of the clans.

The daughters and guards maybe, but the matriarch nobody will try to kill until the vote is over so she should have some more page-time, if only as a background character in the voting chamber.

I'd expect the mind controlled guards to stick around too, because why not?

The dominated council guards are to me the same as Azure City soldiers; unless there's something specific to distinguish them, we shouldn't count them at all.

I'm inclined to agree with this. Given that it appears Rich is never gonna draw 100 percent identical generic soldiers again (unless they have full-face helmets, I suppose), counting each of the guards individually just seems like pointless effort. At least with the vampires it was interesting to track how long they lasted.

Edit: Also the beardless guard (as with literally every beardless dwarf we've seen) is female, FWIW.
