Nethys, the fickle schytzo.

OK. So I'm in a RotRL campaign and in our last session I was the unlucky player to meet the skullripper. turns out it does exactly as advertised (even rolled a 33 on escape artist to get out and failed). Making a new character I'm now doing an Inquisitor, more particularly an Inquisitor of Nethys. now while it has become brutally apparent that you cannot get through rise without either losing characters or going for that sweet meta cheese I have decided to cheese. This however isn't my current problem.

I want to at the very least make my character not FEEL like some piece of meta trash and I am looking for a solid reason for an Inquisitor of a god who favors all magic to find a reason go torquemada on a runelord.

I already have why I'd be meeting the party, but the motivation for jumping down the conspiracy rabbithole RotRL is is tough to justify from a fluff perspective
