Primeval Guardian Ranger and Large Size
Okay, so the Primeval Guardian ranger revised when it uses its Guardian Soul form becomes a Large creature, unless it was already larger.
According to the DMG p. 278 "Big monsters typically wield oversized weapons that deal extra dice of damage on a hit. Double the weapon dice if the creature is Large, triple the weapon dice if the creature is Huge, quadruple the weapon dice if it's Gargantuan."
By that logic, would you allow a player playing a Primeval Guardian ranger to carry a Large sized bow and use it when in their Guardian Soul form, thereby dealing 2d8 damage per shot, or would you use the Enlarge/Reduce rules and let them deal an extra d4 damage on each shot? Asking for a friend.Last edited by Scyrner; 2017-09-11 at 02:19 PM.

It might be a good idea to work out which version of which game you are asking this for then either re-posting it that dub-forum or asking a mod to move this tread to that sub-forum.
