    Spoiler: Master
    Show

    Master Name: Remus Ivanov
Appearance: In his mid-20s, dark-haired with green eyes.
Personality: Generally serious, varying between stern and kind, but occasionally given to moments of cheerfulness.
Backstory: Remus's family has traditionally been focused on research and long-term projects such as environmental manipulation and repair, rarely involving themselves with the intrigues of the Association or the Church. They are old and respectable, but their skills are rarely seen in conflict and generally thought of as odd neighbors rather than rivals. That said, a threat to the planet is a threat to the planet, and more than enough reason to take direct action.
Magecraft Specialty: Plant-based magic and herbalism. He carries seeds, so going into non-nature heavy areas is not a problem usually.

    Spoiler: Servant

    Servant Name: Daedalus
    Class: Rider

    Parameter Ranks
    Strength: C+
    Agility: A
    Endurance: B
    Mana: B
    Luck: B
    Noble Phantasm: A

    Skills:
    Skill: Riding B
    Skill: Artifice/Item Creation A
Skill: Bounded Field Mastery B (As Crafter of the Great Labyrinth of Crete, Rider has a special affinity for creating and penetrating Bounded Fields)
    Skill: Natural Born Genius: A

    Noble Phantasms:
Noble Phantasm: Wings of Wind: Mankind's Dream of Flight (Anti-Unit)
Unlike her original prototypes, these Wings are made of magically treated bronze and glass. The wings absorb mana from the air and sun to repel the mana of the Earth, allowing flight, and their construction is intricate and clever beyond words, allowing for incredible aerobatic maneuvers. Not to mention the discharge of mana in the form of powerful energy attacks.
Noble Phantasm: The Great Labyrinth: Inescapable Maze of Death (Anti-Army)
This Reality Marble is arguably Daedalus' greatest creation, the Labyrinth of Crete. Combining architecture, artifice and magic to create an impenetrable, inescapable trap for a terrifying monster, this Phantasm pulls enemies into unfamiliar territory bristling with traps and secret passages that only Daedalus knows (although she can at least prevent the traps from harming allies). If truly desperate, Daedalus can lead an enemy towards the center of the maze, and the Minotaur, but doing so is risky, as the Minotaur is not under Daedalus' control, and hates her above all else, save for its father and mother...

Appearance: A woman with a medium build and black hair cropped short. When "in costume", she wears a light breastplate, greaves and bracers of bronze, bearing a stylized geometric maze design. She wears a belt with various tools, including a few greek fire bombs.
Personality: Daedalus is not actually a mad scientist, just... surrounded by people with problems that need to be solved with mad science. It may be that when your main asset in life is an overclocked brain, and you're in a society that refuses to acknowledge you unless you pretend to be a man, you're starting from a position of absurdity. The mechanical bull suits (see the conception of the Minotaur), mazes of monster-trapping and wings made of wax and feathers start to look more reasonable from that baseline. There is a hidden well of sadness in her due to the death of her son and apprentice Icarus by his own stupidity, but rather than break her, it tempered her, and her strength of will is a force to be reckoned with.

    Spoiler: Master
    Show
    Master Name: Rozen Minatlas

Personality: Rozen is an idealistic young man, believing wholeheartedly in Atlas' mission to save the world from destruction. While he holds the respect for death as appropriate for a magus, he rejects the notions of immorality for the sake of research. In his own words, "what's the point of saving the world if we kill humanity in the process?"

He enjoys stargazing and tomatoes, and has a heavy phobia of dogs.

Appearance: Standing at a mere 5'5", Rozen is short and non-assuming, with loose black hair and grey eyes. His usual attire consists of suits of various forms. His black and gold Mystic Code is in the form of a long gauntlet connected to a bracer.

Backstory: Even from an early age, the young orphan Rozen was a genius. Easily mastering all of the classes he was given, this level of genius came to the attention of Atlas. He was adopted by the organization and trained. And even through this, he breezed through the training and was inducted into the ranks of the Atlas alchemists. Since then, he has been fairly bored, only really enjoying himself in his work and with the few friends and colleagues he has at Atlas. After Chaldea's creation, he immediately jumped at this chance to keep the world safe, joining their ranks with his head held high.

Magical Specialties: Being an alchemist of Atlas, Rozen's primary battle magics are [Memory Partition] and [Thought Acceleration], both combining to allow him to rapidly analyze and generate strategies for nearly any situation. He carries a number of varied catalyst potions that allow more versatility than his age would suggest, although each potion is consumed during the usage of the mystery it contains.

His favored Mystic Code in combat situations is [Entropy Stellation], a bracer and gauntlet combination on his left arm. Its function is to manipulate entropy, not unlike the geometric process that is its namesake. In combat, the basic use allows for the rapid expansion and detonation of matter up to a certain mass via applying entropy to molecular bonds. The secondary use requires much more mana (slightly less than half of his limited stores) and functions as a [Mana Disjunction] effect, destroying all external magical energy along its path and temporarily suppressing magic circuits for a few seconds.

    Servant Name: Sun Wukong
    Class: Lancer
    Parameter Ranks
    • Strength: A
    • Agility: A
    • Endurance: A
    • Magic: C
    • Luck: D
    • Noble Phantasm: B

    Skills
    • [Class] Magic Resistance (C): Sun Wukong holds a Magic Resistance of C. Aria of two verses and below are cancelled, but beyond that High Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals cannot even be defended against. His intense willpower and stony origin combine to allow him to shrug off lesser magics, but stronger ones still affect him.
    • 72 Transformations (EX): Allows transformation into any form, but his tail cannot be completely transformed. This also allows him to transform any of the 84,000 hairs on his body into any form he has seen before, including animate clones of himself and others. This does not allow him to gain the abilities of Phantasmal Species (he can still assume the shape of them, but retains his own statistics).
    • Cloud Somersault (B): The original ability allowed Wukong to travel up to 33,554 mi in one leap, but due to the concept of the world being smaller, it's been greatly reduced in distance. In the thick of combat, he can use it to fly and dash a few hundred feet.
    • Buddhist Spells (C): Spells mastered during his stay at a Buddhist temple, they are some of the first abilities he learned. These include: Fire Avoidance Charm, Water Avoidance Charm, Body Freezing Spell, Lock-Breaking Spell, Protective Circle, Summoning (local deities), Wind Control.

    Noble Phantasms:
    • Ruyi Jingu Bang (B): The primary weapon of Sun Wukong, this is a magical iron rod that weighs 8.1 tons and can be shrunk down to a needle size to fit in his ear. Its incredible density is often enough to defeat most foes, but he can even split it into multiple copies for fighting off hordes of enemies.
    • Fiery Eyes Golden Gaze (D): Gained after being trapped in Lao Tzu's cauldron for 49 days, these allow Sun Wukong to see all evil and pierce all illusions with his sight. However, it also makes his eyes more vulnerable to smoke.

Personality: Sun Wukong is a playful and arrogant warrior. While he's learned some measure of humility from his travels, he is still the same King of Monkeys at heart.
Appearance: Appearing as a humanoid monkey, Sun Wukong is dressed in fancy armor of gold and red, with his magic staff by his side.

    Master Name: Urashima Yael
Appearance: Young man, light-brown/gray hair with blue eyes. Wears expensive clothing, showing his noble ascendancy.
Personality: Yael shows respect for those who deserve it, and mostly during first impresions. He had an ideology that the end justifies the means, but the current situation of Humanity made him change. His viewpoints were expanded, and he now wants to save the world's History, even if he needs to trade himself in the process.
    Magical Talent: Alchemy/Gemcraft
Background: A pretty dedicated mage since young. Yael didn't attend anything other than private teachers,
who taught him about world history, basic physics, mathematics, languages, ethics, and of course, Magecraft.
As a descendant from the Urashima family of mages (one of the few left around, whose main household was in Okinawa,
Japan, he was expected to become a well-formed mage, and so he did. He did specialize in Alchemy, which is one of his family's strong affinities, and his elemental affinity (since born) was [Water]. Learning from certain famous family,
also located in Japan, he studied Gemcraft, and he specialized in mixing both. Creating elixirs based off gems, or gems empowered with elixirs, to boost their effectiveness.
Yael was pretty obedient from the start, and so he kept as he grew older. When he attained young adulthood, his ethics were tested, and he passed with outstanding results. He valued ends above means, when younger, but after realizing about his mision, he decided to change. About a whole year studying and trying to love humanity, and in the end, he did.
His efforts were not in vain, and his ability as a mage (and as a human being) was not to waste.

Let silver and steel be the essence.
The mage is in a white room, lightly decorated and facing a circle in the middle.
Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation.
Yael is standing, eyes closed, holding a small ceremonial dagger.
Let red be the color I pay tribute to.
He slices his palm, letting drops of blood touch the circle, which illuminates in a red tone.
Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall.
He drops the dagger to the floor, and rises both hands, eyes now wide open.
Let the four cardinal gates close.
The magical circle shines with even more force, while the incantation continues.
Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate."
Wind starts to blow, originating from the runes on the floor.
"Let it be filled. Again. Again. Again. Again.
A foreign object, originally placed on the center of the Summoning Circle, more specifically, a letter of some sort, starts breaking from the strong winds, almost dissapearing while the circle's shinning gets even brighter.
Let it be filled fivefold for every turn, simply breaking asunder with every filling.
Finally, an explosion of some sorts happens, Yael is sent back a few feet, but he stays standing. Smoke is all over the place,
and the lights are dim as before the ritual began. The mage coughs as he didn't expect a cloud of smoke appear out of nowhere, he steps forward and quickly flinches as the silouette of a grotesque figure is morphing from within the cloud.

Shortly after, the smoke dissipates, leaving a thin man wearing a suit. He cleans off the dust off his tuxedo with his right hand, while he holds a heavy tome with his left.

"I did it!" Yael quickly composes himself. "O-of course I did it. As expected of myself."

The man rises his eyebrow to the mage's monologue.

"Aherm. I assume you are 1920's famous author of certain Mythos that created a whole universe off your imagination?"

    Spoiler: Skills Explained
    Show
    Bestow Madness (Ex)
    Active Skill
This skill is performed by Lovecraft reading from his book a small paragraph, and only a small paragraph.
This has an irreversible effect on the target, as unspoken truths are not for anyone to hear or learn about.
    • In an effective way, this transfers the Madness Enhancement into the target, however its effects are almost the opposite, lowering every parameter (except Luck and Noble Phantasm) by 1, and bestowing erratic, incomprehensible acts on the target.
    • This skill only affects targets with the [Human] trait.
    • This skill could not affect any character with Divinity, or abilities above, except those with Divinity E.
    • Servants with the Madness Enhancement would be unaffected.

    Divinity (False) (C)
    Passive Skill
Lovecraft is not directly descended from gods, but his name is Mythology by itself. Its creation of a new world inside his imagination led to hundreds of thousands to learn about the true universe.
    • Effectively, this skill increases Lovecraft's effectiveness in combat against characters without Divinity or whose Divinity rank is D or worse.

    Summoning (A)
    Active Skill
Lovecraft was an apostle, his work was to spread the knowledge about Eldrich Horrors that lie in the cosmos, and as such, he has the ability to evoke creatures of unimaginable appereances, horrid beings whose sight could incite madness on unaware onlookers. Lovecraft does this by reading his book, or by quoting one of his works, where desired creature appears.
    • This ability allows Lovecraft to combat, by using his creations as his weapons or utility.
    • This ability may provoke Bestow Madness (as the skill) on non-servant, non-mage humans with weak will, depending on the creature brought.
    • This ability may bring creatures under Lovecraft's command, but they are entirely made of mana, and when destroyed they will dissipate, leaving no traces of existence. They are, however, real, and any attack or interaction with the physical world will work as such. Lovecraft may choose to spawn tentacles which he can command to do certain tasks.
    • Creatures created by this ability will follow Lovecraft's command, but certain creatures may ignore his orders.

    Territory Creation (A)
    Passive Skill
This skill is possessed by most Casters, and Lovecraft is no exception. This ability allows to create an area where only Lovecraft and those he allows to be confortable. Similar to a Workshop, this area is more akin to a Study. Those he accepts see it as a small room, with fine furnitune and bookshelves, where relaxation is posible. Any interloper will find a grotesque place, which averts eyes to look away, or it may consume their sanity.
    • While inside the Study, Lovecraft's Mana and Endurance increases by 1.
    • Preparing the Study takes certain materials (such as old books and an actual room) and about a day.

    Call of Cthulhu
He who is the Harbringer of Doom, End of all Humanity, and Madness Incarnate
    Category: Anti-Unit
    Rank: A+

    Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn!
H.P. Lovecraft's most known imput is the Great Old One known as Cthulhu, whose summoning is one of his strongest abilities. Summoning Great Cthulhu takes a great amount of Mana, but if accomplished, the dreamer will appear before Caster. Its mere sigh may inspire madness (and it will) among those nearby, those non-servants or mages will suffer insanity and death. The Great Old One will not follow Lovecraft's orders, but take them as suggestions, as he is the one who brought him to life. Unlike Summoning, Call of Cthulhu will Project the deity, always bringing the same version than in the story, but at the same time, the same version that was brought the time before.
Cthulhu's abilities are beyond comprehension, and they may seem as Magic, but they are not. His immense physical traits, accompanied by its colossal size, will become a powerful weapon of destruction.
Due to the nature of this Noble Phantasm, mantaining the summoning could require the use of a Command Spell to increase Lovecraft's Mana, or using other means. Regardless of the method, Cthulhu may not stay in the physical realm for too long due to two factors.
    • Its mere presence may inspire madness upon every being (except servants, as they are not alive), including Lovecraft's Master.
    • Its magic requirement is pretty high, and abusing this ability too often will dry both Lovecraft and his Master's Mana quickly.
    Spoiler: Great Cthulhu
    Show

    Necronomicon
Eternal Book of Untold Universal Truths
    Category: Anti-Army
    Rank: E~EX

The second most known factor about Lovecraft is the infamous book: Necronomicon. It is a heavy tome whose cover is of black leader, and its pages of a rotten color, written in an ancient language that is hard to recognize or decipher.
His abilities come mostly from the book, but he is not limited to use them only with it, as most passages were written (or transcripted) by Lovecraft himself.
Necronomicon is a very versatile Noble Phantasm that allows the creation of a Reality Marble that traps his targets inside. Targets trapped may suffer several effects, depending on the passage read. From being sent to the City of Giants, to appear in the Dark Nameless City, or the worst case, to be sent inside the one who dreams, and its awakening will end everything and everyone to have been, that is, and to eventually become.
This Noble Phantasm has almost unlimited uses, allowing for complex magic (that requires casting) of almost every aspect. Its most powerful abilities include summoning Great Old Ones (Cthulhu not included, as Lovecraft uses another chant), projecting an image of Elder Gods, or even the ones beyond, such as Yog-Sothoth, Shub-Niggurath, Nyarlathotep, or Azathoth.
This ability is pretty strong, but its use may bring insanity to any onlooker, especially Lovecraft's master, so he is weary of using it.
    • Depending on its use, Necronomicon may consume low or no mana at all, but certain abilities will drain dry Caster and his master's.
    • The Reality Marble created by Necronomicon is real, as it exists somewhere in the multiverse,
this is why anything inside it (including creatures and technology) are threatening and dangerous.
    • Almost every use of Necronomicon bestows a cohrent form of Insanity, even to the Master.
    • Due to the point above, Caster will retain from using Necronomicon to summon the most powerful beings,
as his Master's sanity may dry in a bit.

Appearance: Lovecraft appears as a tall, thin man, wearing semi-casual clothing, and often black suits. He carries a book with him almost everywhere he goes. He is seen reading almost all the time.
Personality: Lovecraft is a creator. He speaks when necesary, and ofen in low tones. He has high intellect and opinions of higher caliber, but he is distracted by his aberrant sights that haunt him, as the prophet he is.
His goals are unknown, because he is constantly hearing the whispers of the Elder Gods, he may or not be affected by a superior form of Madness, especially considering the power he wields with his abilities.

    Jean cut his hand.
It was a shallow cut, and the knife was sterile, of course. He knew his own medical history, and knew the blood was clean. He held it long enough for the blood to drip to the floor, then pulled a handkerchief from his his lab coat pocket to staunch the wound before continuing.

"I hearby propose. Your fealty shall be mine, and my fate yours."

He hesitated for the briefest of moments before continuing. Jean wasn't sure what had drawn him towards these words in particular, towards trying to summon a servant of that class. Perhaps it was arrogance, attempting to summon a servant of the most excellent class even if he didn't believe he was truly capable of it.

But it was more than that. Ever since he had agreed to attempt the ritual, these words more than any of the others had spoken to him. They reminded him of the other oath he had taken, the oath of a physician. Maybe that was just a different type of arrogance, but it was too late to step back now.

"I hearby swear that I shall be all that is good in the world. That I shall repress all that is evil in the world. Of the seven heavenly beings, being the three great words of power, come forth from the cycle that shackles you; guardian of scales!"

    Spoiler

    Master Name: Jean Bennet
Appearance: Tall and gangly, Jean has a crop of dark hair cut short, with matching dark-rimmed glasses. His normal attire includes a long lab coat.
Personality: Jean is a compassionate, if rather insecure, young man. As a boy, his certainty in his abilities as a magus made him arrogant. By the time he realised how weak he was compared to others, he had alienated a lot of his peer group and found himself in the awkward position of not knowing how to socialise.
In the absence of this, he threw himself even moreso into his studies. Magical surgery was an avenue his family was already looking into, and the sort of field where perceived arrogance and rudeness could be excused as 'bad bedside manner'.
Backstory: The Bennet family hails from Gascony, France. Jean is the grandson of the families first magus; consequently, he grew up with expectations placed on his shoulders by his family, and expectations within himself.

Those expectations eventually led Jean to becoming a doctor. His family had specialised in augmenting magics, trying to find a supernatural way to improve the body, the soul, and to close the gap between themselves and the other magical families.
Magecraft Specialty: Augmentation. The Bennet family philosophy is that the truth that magus strive for can be reached only by uplifting all people. The magic they practice focuses upon using their magic to enhance others; providing a magical burst of strength, health, and so forth.
As a new family, one of their major avenues of research is trying to find a way of increasing the number of magic circuits a person has, whether by transplant, transference or magically inducing their creation.

There was a flash of light, like the midday sun reflecting off of a sword, a light so bright it nearly overawed the accompanying explosion. Jean threw a hand to his face to keep his glasses from blowing away, and succeeded in only getting them a little smudged.

Through the misted glass, he was able to make a blurred figure, seeming to shine in blue. He pulled out a cloth, cleaned the glasses and put them back on, and the world jumped into focus.

For half a second, looking at the woman before him, it seemed to jump into something more than focus.

D'Artagnan's story began when she realised she could make her fortune with a sword, and aspired to become a musketeer. She was trained by some of the finest swordsmen of France, and was a prodigy in her own right. By activating this Noble Phantasm, she reveals her position as a Musketeer of the Guard. Her speed and strength increase fourfold, and she is able to draw upon the techniques of Athos, Porthos and Aramis.
    • Noble Phantasm: The Captain of the Guard: All for One, and One for All.
Before her death, d'Artagnan was promoted to captain of the Musketeers, a command position second only to the king himself. Activating this Noble Phantasm changes her livery to the burgundy, black and silver traditional to the role, revealing more information as to her identity.
A musketeer must support their allies above all else, sharing in their triumph and their tragedies. This Phantasm allows d'Artagnan and her true companions to share strength and skills. Any companion under the effect of this Phantasm has access to d'Artagnan's Noble Phantasm and skills; similarly, d'Artagnan has access to their Phantasm and skills.
For this Phantasm to take effect, the participants must be more than merely companions. The ties that bind them must be as deep and abiding as the friendship between the original musketeers... and friendship such as that is very difficult to find, cultivated over a long period of time.

Appearance: A young woman with sharp eyes, d'Artagnan's attire matches the traditional image of a musketeer. A belt with a golden buckle is tied around her tabard, and attached to the belt is a rapier. The tabard itself is blue, trimmed white and red cloth showing underneath. Across her back and shoulders is a cape of the same colour, with a white cross picked in gold thread.
Her blonde hair is tied in a ponytail beneath her hat, a broad-brimmed thing with two white feathers. Green eyes peek from beneath that, and beneath the eyes, a beauty mark, and an expression that reads somewhere between amusement and confidence.
Personality: D'Artagnan demands acknowledgement. She wants to prove herself and her worth; this desire manifests itself as a brash and reckless attitude, a careless disregard for danger and a pride that can be easily slighted. At the same time, her courage is beyond reproach, and her loyalty is legendary. She respects conviction, despises traitors, and regards money with a mercenary and calculating eye.

It was a woman, a woman dressed in a blue; a blue tabard, a blue cape, blonde hair falling beneath a large brimmed, blue hat. Her eye's studied Jean with an expression the man couldn't quite place.
A sword hung from the woman's belt, long and thin, a rapier.

Jean held up his hand, so that she could see the red X on the back of the palm. Now that he was faced with Saber, it occured to his that perhaps the brand wasn't an x, but crossed blades...

"Are." He choked, coughed, and started again. "Are you my servant, Saber-"
"Are you his Majesty, the King of France?"

Her words caught the young man up short. He had done a little reading in how master-servant interactions were supposed to go. He didn't recall reading about a servant asking something like that.

The woman seemed to take his silence for an answer. "Are you a prince? A cardinal of the holy church?"

    "I... no. I'm a doctor."

"Mordioux! And you call me your servant?"

Who had Jean summoned? In truth, he hadn't expected the ritual to work. He had expected he'd make an attempt, that he would fail -that Chaldea would deem his attempt insufficient even if he had succeeded. He hadn't bothered with a catalyst; he had simply trusted that, if he did succeed, the ritual would summon someone compatible with himself.
Looking at the woman before him, he wondered if he had misjudged... then he recognised the look on her expression.

There was an arrogance there, to be sure. And part of the way she looked at him was calculating, taking his measure. But there was something else there, beneath the swagger and veneer of confidence; a good-natured easiness. There was enough steel in her comments to take them as truth, but there was a levity, a self-awareness to them. Maybe.

"Since you aren't a king, or a prince, or a cardinal, I cannot be your servant, since they are the only one's I would call master... However. I suppose I can still be your Saber."

She grinned, a smile as long and bright as the sword she drew from her belt.
"Un pour tous, tous pour un!"

Apologies for the wait. Here's the IC! Sorry for rushing through a lot of the opening, I wanted to get to the important part of the story and not have the game die before it started. Feel free to roleplay through a prologue as well as the current plot.

Unless your master has a background in American Mythology, your servants only have a small amount of knowledge from the Throne of Heroes. They know that they are a stealthy phantasmal species caused by humans devolving into cannibalism and they howl their names, but that's about it.

Quick question based on your last post; are we hand-waving a language barrier?

I'm just curious if my character should note or be surprised by the fact the women spoke in english, or if it's one of those thigns we're kiiiinda fluffing for this, since the characters (presumably) will be hitting up a variety of locations in different time periods, langauge barriers with no linguist, etc.

Since the two japanese protagonists of the Mobile game are able to somehow speak French, Latin, Greek, English, Arabic and Babylonian I assumed that rayshifting just teaches you the language.

This may be putting the cart ahead of the horse a little, but does anyone have any preference on where and when the next singularity will be? Normally, I'd go with my go-to historical eras for a time travel game like this, but FGO has already done most of them.

Maybe more contemporary sites? Probably WW1/2, or some events on hisory, as the Mexican Revolution (comes to my mind), or other similar events~

It might depend on what kind of tone you have in mind for stuff. Like, if you want an action heavy thing, maybe some sort of a medieval siege. Roswell, 1947 might make for a fun almost-comedic episode. The Cold War might be an obvious pick for an espionage type adventure.

Honestly, I don't have any preferences. History is huge, so going for less-well known stuff might be fun, if only to put a different spin or dynamic on stuff.

(For instance, if we had a choice, I'd prefer World War I to WWII, given the lack of appearances the forum tends to have in media).

Could do parts of the Hundred Years' War, the Warring States Period, or the Sengoku Period. I don't have any particular preferences though.

I don't know, I'm eager to see if there's a big reveal, or if the story pushes us through another singularity~

Out of curiosity, does anyone have any guesses on who Archer is? It might be a tad obvious, but that could just be me knowing the answer.

Maybe I'm not understanding you right, but the story will not progress without you. Yes there are twists and reveals, but they aren't going to happen with out you getting involved. If a singularity would resolve itself, Chaldea would be unnecessary. There is not a railroad here.

Funnily enough, this is a thing I've been talking over with a friend of mine.

(Full disclosure: he's a big Fate fan, and has helped me create, and with the writing, of d'Artagnan's posts. So, he's been following the thread for a bit.)

So, the matter of 'who is Archer' has come up a little. Right now, the leading guess is

Sorry again for taking so long. I have a couple of things to say. First, I'm in contact with a friend of Quiver's and hopefully they will be able to take over for Morcleon, since he hasn't posted in weeks. Second, Doron Titanes was meant to be Greek, but it turns out those are both loan words in Latin and my reliance on Latin grammar made it more confusing. She's meant to be a Greek Pandora and not a Roman Pandora, though I suppose that her myth being in both cultures would technically make her incarnation both? Third, I'm trying very hard to not say "and then Yael and Remus are at the nest" but that's what I assume we're all planning to do, yeah? Can you guys tell me, out of character, if you're ready to jump to the nest?

Frankly, the Nasuverse plays fast and loose with mythology, so it could be both, neither, whatever. Having recently done a read through/review of all the Grand Order servants (because... I'm weird) saying "whatever works" seems to be Nasu's MO.

...That being said, assuming it was Latin was actually my screw-up. In fairness, I didn't want to look it up, and Saber made a guess based on the way the words sounded and Archer's costume, so... there's IC rationalisation for the mix-up on her/my side of things.

And I'm that aforementioned friend of Quiver's. I'll be happy to join you from here on out.

    Spoiler: Master
    Show

    Master Name: Nora Steube
Appearance: A young woman with light brown hair that she keeps at about neck length. She’s 1.7 meters tall and though not especially muscular keeps herself physically fit. For the most part she dresses in a plain but elegant combinations of shirts and pants.
Personality: Nora does not like to be in charge, less because of any shortcomings on her part and more because she does not like the attention and expectations that come with it. Usually this leads to her taking somewhat of a right hand man position, dependable and resourceful but also able to step up and give direction if the person in charge falters.
Despite being somewhat jaded with the world, Nora does her best to keep a friendly disposition. Often times these attempts can turn out a bit forceful. While she yearns for peaceful solutions, she has long come to realize that they are not always an option and that after joining Chaldea, violence is all but inevitable. Ultimately, she was unable to stay inactive after learning of Chaldea’s mission.
Backstory: The Steube family may be an established family of magi but they are born with magic circuits of widely varying quality. This leads to each generation having a high number of children in an attempt to breed the best possible result. Given that only one of the resulting children can inherit the family’s magic crest this practice repeatedly leads to strained, if not downright violent, relationships between the siblings.
Nora herself was born as their second child with magic circuits that put her in the golden middle. Her parents did deem her as strong enough to bother teaching her magic but assumed they would have children more suitable to inherit their magic crest. They were right. This left Nora as somewhat of a bridge between her gifted siblings and those without notable magical ability.
At first she considered this a blessing, allowing her to stay on good terms with all of her siblings but she eventually found that this assumption was wrong. Once the conflict for the inheritance of the magic crest started in earnest, Nora found herself between sides that demanded her to join them or assumed she was against them. Attempts to mediate between her siblings not only failed but backfired to the point she drew their ire on herself.
She decided to remove herself from the conflict by leaving their home and eventually ended up joining Chaldea.
Magecraft Speciality: The Steube family’s magic is based on injection. Specifically embedding energy both magical and mundane into a foreign object. Given her limited teaching in their magic, she is only capable of the applications aligning with her elemental affinities, Earth and Wind, without the help of a ritual. She utilizes a Mystic Code called Transmission Chain. While she can channel her magical energy through the entire chain, it’s core is the crystal tip at the end of the chain. It is the implement by which she enhances her magic. Injecting her magical energy into air allows her to solidify and direct it, making a kind of makeshift blades or projectiles. Within solid objects meanwhile she can store energy that gets released in a blast once conditions designated by her are meet. To achieve a noticeable effect, Nora needs to let her magical energy soak into her target for a couple of moments.

    Spoiler: Skills explained
    Show
Mad Enhancement B: Rank up for all parameters, but takes away most of sanity. In life, Sigmund was a violent woman from a violent time in which much anything could be a slight worse enough to demand death. A tendency only aggravated by her family’s history of bloody revenge. The madness of the Berserker class was a natural fit for her disposition.

Battle continuation B: A Volsung knows no pain. Sigmund is no exception. Even in old age she dominated the battlefield, not surrendering after Odin shattered her sword. Despite being mortally wounded in this last battle, she survived among the corpses until the next day.

Affection of Odin C: Over the course of her life, Odin has both given great assistance to Sigmund and caused her great tragedies. As a servant, this manifests as Sigmund’s Luck increasing should she be in great peril. On the other hand, her luck might decrease if she holds the advantage over her enemies for an extended amount of time or faces opponents with the Divine attribute/skill

Killer in the Forest B: After king Siggeir assassinated her father and all of her brothers, Sigmund fled into the forest until she and her nephew/son Sinfjotli were strong enough to take their revenge. While out in the wilderness, Sigmund gains minor stat boosts and a slight effect similar to low ranking presence concealment. As this part of her legend represents her alignment to the Berserker class more than anything this skill is enhanced by her Mad Enhancement, causing her bonuses to increase slightly.

Charisma B (locked): Sigmund was known as the greatest king of her time, able to command respect even in old age, as well as routinely winning battles with her army outnumbered. However, because of her Mad Enhancement, the use of her charisma is lost to her.

    Show

Wolf’s skin: Transforms Sigmund into a giant wolf, granting her the strength, senses and cunning of the beast. While the wolf’s cunning can not negate the Mad Enhancement, it does allow Sigmund to deploy simple strategies such as stealth, ambushes and recognizing one’s allies, as long as she has not yet been overwhelmed by a battle frenzy.
Once donned the skin can be taken off after an hour has passed, temporarily reducing Sigmund’s Mad Enchantement rang to E, removing stats improvements but also regaining skills and NP locked away by it. Sigmund feel a compulsion to don the wolf skin again that quickly overwhelms her, if she has no task to distract herself.

Volsung Blood: The long history of Volsung blood feuds sublimated into a noble phantasm. Her very blood is turned into a retribution curse that will decay the physical shape of anything that gets stained with it after injuring her. Ordinary humans will quickly succumb to the curse, while their blades would dull. Magi and enchanted items have some resistance to the curse but they will eventually succumb to it if they stay in contact with large quantities of her blood. Heroic Spirits and their Noble Phantasm are on average strong enough not to be majorly affected by the curse. At worse, continued exposure to her blood will lead to their statistics suffering a rank down.
In her human form, Sigmund can evoke the Noble Phantasm’s true name to channel her mana into the blood staining one target. This causes the curse to intensify for the target, putting a major strain on them both physically and spiritually.
While the curse remains active even after the blood dried, it is an essential requirement that she gets injured by the target first. This makes it impossible for Sigmund to curse people by deliberating harming herself.

Appearance: The Wolf Skin turns her body into that of a gigantic gray wolf the size of an adult human. Even under her thick fur, the strong muscles of her shape are evident.
Out of the wolf skin, Sigmund is still a woman of strong build but not to the supernatural extend of her wolf form. She has dark blond wavy hair she keeps tied back. She wears leather armor over a dark blue tunic and trousers. She keeps the wolf skin either tied around her waist or slung over one of her shoulders to make sure it is always close.
Personality: In her wolf shape, not much is left of Sigmund but a predator. Reduced to animal behaviour and no capability for speech. The only thing holding her back is her inherent sense of loyalty making her acknowledge her master as a kind of packmate. She very quickly takes insult both to her own person and on behalf of her master, with even a minor slight requiring her master to actively hold her back from lashing out. Regardless of whether or not she gets restrained such an encounter is likely to turn into a grudge she will nurse until she finally gets a chance for revenge. This vengeful nature can even extend to her master. While she is more patient towards her and tempered by loyalty, she will lash out at her master should she actively mistreat Sigmund or in any way give her a feeling of inferiority.
When Sigmund senses combat approaching she becomes tense, anticipating the violence. Waiting for the ideal moment to strike with an advantage and not a moment longer. It is possible for her master to hold her back by pointing out advantages gained by further patience her own animalistic intelligence can not grasp but it greatly strains what little self control Sigmund has left.
In the moments Sigmund sheds her wolf skin, she remains an aggressive woman, albeit much more controlled. Possibly even laughing away a minor insult as being beneath her notice. More than that however she carries herself with both charisma and wisdom, tempering her nature with the dressings of a king.
