Default Help fo my FF setting

So, i'm making a setting based on final fantasy for the upcoming campaign with my friends.
I'd love to have someone helping me out with ideas, fixes ecc.
sadly i'm italian and the whole setting is in italian so i think it has no point posting here the document, but i can translate classes/races 1b1 so we can discuss them togheter
would anyone be up to help me?

    Edit: We play 3.5

    Sorry for double posting.
    Anyway.
i'm now looking at making a dragoon class (something like kain from ffiv)

this what it looks like now
HD: d8 (he'll do a lot of damage and be able to wear heavy armors, so lowering his hp seemed fine)
    BaB: Full
    Saves: Good (Fortitude,Reflexes) Bad (Will)

    Now for the hard part.
Jump (Lv1): As a complete round action (might get the dmg up and switch it to a 2 turn action like the real jump in ff) the dragoon leaps to the skies doing a Jump Check, after that he attempt at attacking an enemy in 15 m (srry not really able to convert it in feets right now anyway it's 10 squares) if the jump check was over 20 (or higher will see) the attack is considered to be a part of a charge.
If the attack connects it deals extra damage
(Weapon Dmg + 1d6 for every 10 points in the jump check) x Maximum number of attacks avaible to the dragoon
(For example a lvl 13 Dragoon has 3 attacks assuming he has 16 points in jump, 5 in Strenght and an average 10 on the dice the dmg would be 16+13+5+10 (Later he have a passive that adds his level to jump checks) = 43/10 = 4d6 of extra damage, and since he has 3 attacks it becomes 12d6 )

should i lowet the 10 to 8 and make it a 2 turn action? consider that ultima the strongest dmg spells deals 2d6/level to consider balancing the damage

Dragoons are one of the toughest classes in FF, so I don't think d8 is enough for them - d10 is pretty much a perfect fit. Jump should be a full-round action, assuming you do not return to your starting square and instead land in 5ft of your target.

As far as I understood, the dragoon makes his full attack on a Jump and gets extra damage on each of those attacks? Consider that +10 or a +20 item of competence for Jump can add a bit of damage, but even so, the extra damage doesn't seem gamebreaking anyway, since Ultima, from what you've said, is an AoE (I assume Ultima is AoE since it always was that way?) Disintegrate, which is actually pretty good by blasting terms.

If you want help with a Final Fantasy/FF-based setting, you may want to look into using Final Fantasy d20. While FFd20 is Pathfinder Total Conversion, Pathfinder as a whole is largely compatible with 3.5, so FFd20 would be as well. Though for ease of use, you may want to just use Pathfinder (luckily almost every element of Pathfinder can be found for free, online, legally), otherwise, you will have to do a little bit of converting (particularly on the subjects of CMD and CMB. Regardless of whether or not you use FFd20 as a whole, you may want to draw inspiration from it.

i think jump fits better as a 2 round action, much like the original jump

looked at that, but dunno, there arr things that i don't like, and things that i like, copied something, modified something and redo other stuff

ignis: yeah ultima is aoe, would you mind actually helping me chechking a bit more of my stuff? maybe without spamming in the forum

Sure, PM me if you feel like it :)

If Jump is a 2-round action, though, then the dragoon who jumps cannot be targeted by anything until he lands, because I think that was one of the purposes of the Jump command taking some time to execute. All the games either do this or make Jump an instant attack. I don't think it would be too overpowered - you can't really predict what your enemies will do in tabletop :)

I want to second the FFd20 reccomendation. If you're looking to play d20 FF, there is no better place to look. I personally would prefer playing it in another system (either FFd6 or my own FFRPG 4th Ed), but if you're adamant on playing d20, FFd20 is the way to go.
