Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Also, include your group in your post with your name. Like;
'Erik
Northern Cell Block'
Or something along those lines. I give some additional monikers to use too, like 'the hanging men', or what-have-you. That works just as well, and keeps things simple.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Fort save 1: (1d20+3)[9]
Will save 1: (1d20+7)[9]
Fort save 2: (1d20+3)[16]
Will save 2: (1d20+7)[18]
Fort save 3: (1d20+3)[13]
Will save 3: (1d20+7)[13]
Fort save 4: (1d20+3)[14] EDIT: On three consecutive failures, the DC is reduced to 17. Replacing this with a take-13 17, my first success.
Will save 4: (1d20+7)[27]
Fort save 5: (1d20+3)[18]
Will save 5: (1d20+7)[22]
Fort save 6: (1d20+3)[18]
Will save 6: (1d20+7)[15]
Fort save 7: (1d20+3)[11]
Will save 7: (1d20+7)[13]
Fort save 8: (1d20+3)[7]
Will save 8: (1d20+7)[23]
If at any point the DC for the Fort save is down to 17 and I haven't fully recovered, I'll expend martial focus to take 13 on that save.
Movement regains: (1d4)[4] (1d4)[2] (1d4)[2] (1d4)[1] (1d4)[2]
Staggered for: (1d3)[2] rounds
EDIT: Three rounds of feebly trying to get up off the floor, then one round of being staggered with 20 ft of movement speed, then one round of being staggered with 30 ft of movement speed. Once I've waited out the staggered condition and have full movement speed, I assume I'm mostly fine-ish, mechanically speaking, from that point forward? You didn't explicitly say- the alternative presumably being that I revert back to being dazed and have to make Fort saves even to be staggered again.Last edited by Toptomcat; 2019-03-17 at 01:55 PM.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Are you guys going to post IC stuff, or are you saying, "I'll wait to post until I get up properly"?
Also, @Mornings, once everyone in group one has posted, are you going to do a post or can we just go straight into the second round of trying to get off the floor?Last edited by Stevesciguy; 2019-03-17 at 01:56 PM.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
I'm saying that I need to know what the rolls are before I know whether I'm posting a description of being insensible on the ground for a minute and a half or springing to my feet immediately. The post will be up within ~15 minutes.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
You don't revert condition, whatever saves you've succeeded remain as you've recovered from that, but you're not fully back in action.
Once all players in a group posts, then I will post an update for that group. You can roll in advance, but do not skip ahead with resolving your own results IC. Regardless of the success or failure of your saves you will still need to post following each update I put up. So even if you were paralyzed for 9 rounds, you'd still need to be able to provide a response. There's no shortage of material to use, even if that's just frothing at the mouth waiting for Faux to gnaw through the door with his playing cards. In cases like that, thoughts, internal monologue, whatever narrative tools you want to use work. The objective should remain RPing the character despite good or poor circumstances.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Sorry, working on my response now.
I'm enjoying, so far, how we have three very serious, depressing men and one very flamboyant furry.Last edited by Chromascope3D; 2019-03-17 at 06:35 PM.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Yup! That'll be an interesting party dynamic.
We have:
- a master marksman and survivalist who literally eats veil beasts for breakfast
- a masochist who doesn't mind getting hit in battle
- a grizzled veteran, who professionally hunted veil beasts and taught others how he did it, now with bonus dark powers
- a showman thief who steals from the corrupt

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
I'm gonna take a page out of Tom's book and roll a bunch of rounds at once, so I can think about how Erik will react if he can't get up for 5 rounds
Round 3:
DC 18 Will: (1d20+10)[26]
DC 20 Fort: (1d20+10)[20]
Round 4:
DC 17 Will: (1d20+10)[11]
DC 20 Fort: (1d20+10)[18]
Round 5:
DC 16 Will: (1d20+10)[19]
DC 20 Fort: (1d20+10)[27]
Round 6:
DC 15 Will: (1d20+10)[22]
DC 20 Fort: (1d20+10)[12]
Round 7:
DC 14 Will: (1d20+10)[30]
DC 20 Fort: (1d20+10)[11]
Movement for when I succeed: (1d4)[3]
Staggered for when I succeed: (1d3)[1]
OK, he gets up next round, and I rolled pretty well on the other stuff. Cool
Side note: is chromoscope's post invisible for anyone else?Last edited by Stevesciguy; 2019-03-17 at 07:49 PM.
