And all the muppets who appear as Star Wars characters will be clones. As will any Star Wars actors appearing as someone other than their Star Wars characters (tiptoeing around spoilers, something I never thought I'd have to do with The Muppet Show).

Not sure how they're going to work the musical numbers in.

If they're feeling so retro, embedded MIDI files.

Now I wonder whether the Muppet Show exists in the world of the web comic.

From a technical standpoint, the usual way of putting music into a comic is by putting the lyrics in italics, and sprinkling them with random musical notes. There remains the question of whether the DM or any of the players start singing, and why.

In that episode, you had Luke Skywalker go offscreen, so his cousin Mark Hamil could show up. And visa versa. Until finally at the very end you see both on screen at the same time.
Not "fire at". I never used the word "at"

Did they use one of his stunt doubles, or some sort of weird 1980's camera trick?

Camera trick. They were both Mark.

There will singing sheep, a rock band, and a Pigs in Space episode.

Oh! Do you think they might find a way to squeeze in the David Tennant/ Pigs in Space skit? It wasn't in that episode (obviously) but, c'mon!

I actually missed the comic before this one that set up the improv theatre. Do we think they're actually going to commit to this then, instead of calling it off for something else like the other false starts?

Well since part of the story-line is being in a Cloning station and both "Marks" are going to be there...

I'm sorry, but every time I see Star Wars paired with cloning, my brain immediately goes "Yessss, more Carrie Fisher!" and then I'm trying to craft polynomials to try and figure how much extra awesome the universe can withstand.

Yep, and I followed it hoping to catch up on the ones I missed over the last couple of years... but there weren't any. :(

They gave up after a while because it was too much work for an in-joke, given the number of other comics they do.

The fact that they went with it as long as they did is definitely admirable, though. I certainly enjoyed the run.

I remember the first time I saw that.
I didn't even bother to check the annotations on the Harry Potter one, and when I eventually saw it again, I was shocked to see how deep it went.

It took me far too long to notice the rock/paper/scissors reference from this past week's comic.

    C-3PO: So they banned paper?
Kermit: Chopped it up with scissors they did, then smashed the scissors with rocks.
No point in smashing the scissors with rocks unless referencing the game, as far as I can tell.

Really, the CIs shouldn't be surprised by the phrase 'Tally Ho'. Surely they've seen at least one movie involving the RAF and its fox hunting culture by now.

So, looks like they got through with Rogue One. Welp, time to dive in and get the whole movie-comic in on a massive binge! I'll never experience the days of suspense you suckers had to deal with whole waiting for the real-time updates!

And now to find out how possibly horribly ironic that statement may be....

Be sure to read the user commentary at the bottom. It is the best part of the comic :-)
