Reasonable supposition, but we need confirmation.

Re: Darths & Droids IV: Not in Numerical Order
Which, when you take the age she was at the time into account, was a good first attempt. She was,IIRC, reasonable for a decent amount of Kamino. It wasn't until Kashyyk that we got the really detailed stuff.
Each campaign is about two years apart comic time, and she's in university now, so about 10. Which is reasonable for her creating Jar Jar one game and deciding he's stupid the next.Last edited by Anonymouswizard; 2021-02-16 at 01:48 AM.

Re: Darths & Droids IV: Not in Numerical Order
New comic
This Xasha guy raises a good point.
I'd believe him.
You know, if I didn't know better."If it lives it can be killed.

Re: Darths & Droids IV: Not in Numerical Order
More than that. This is the seventh round, and she's like twenty now. Since we don't know how much time the campaigns themselves eat up (several weeks each, at a guess) you have another couple years there. So yeah, 4 or 5. Young enough to need a sitter, which is why Ben brought her in the first place.

Re: Darths & Droids IV: Not in Numerical Order
I see no reason to believe him. It's a stupid argument, even by Jim's standards. All the one guy has to do is say 'Sergio' changed his name to hide from them, and the other guy can confirm, because 'Umberto' pulled the same trick with them.
They then probably start negotiating on exactly how long after the laser shotgun wedding he needs to stay alive, and how many pieces of him will need to be cut off to buy that time.

Of course they don't buy it, they do know better after all. Everyone would.
And yeah, Jim is definitely in top-form on the whole switching his brain off thing.

Maybe some ceremonial stuff?
Can probably be abridged and/or be done with a body.
Has there to be offspring? Just put some bits on ice.
So... maybe two or three hours and at least one.
Two if cutting something out counts.
Namely his heart.

If it is dead it can be eaten."

Of course, anyone can have multiple names, so they should realize they could both be right.

Re: Darths & Droids IV: Not in Numerical Order
Sure it's unclear, but I've known parents will get sitters for somewhat older kids. I'd believe 7-8, which puts her at 12ish now.
I believe the original intention was a session is roughly 15-20 strips. It takes about 1200 to reach E6. By E6 Sally is definitely in university, so she's probably 19-20. 1200/15=80 weeks, which means each campaign likely roughly twenty weeks, which is short but reasonable with the relatively flat power growth. So assuming it's two years from the end of one game to the start of the next one and not from start to start as I originally assumed, we're looking at another two years, so 7-8. Young enough to still want a babysitter (which Ben and Sally's parents can almost certainly afford), but can definitely pick up the mechanics of the apparently fairly complex system.
Do we have the suet to try?

Re: Darths & Droids IV: Not in Numerical Order
Xasha and Han are hardly Italian though... then again, I don't think Italian names can start with a H or X, so that's probably why. (Well, "Han" in the comic came about as a result of in-game events rather than as part of a pre-written character background, so it figures that it wouldn't necessarily be consistent with the other names. No idea on Xasha though.)

Sasha with an X. Which makes sense, since Sasha is a diminutive of Alexand(er/ra).

Oh, the unspoilereds are in for such a ride.

Edit: actually, that was aimed at about 3 strips ago. I am fairly certain that this scene has turned a corner and they can now guess with uncanny accuracy how things are going to go down.

You obviously don't watch the new DuckTales, keybounce. Otherwise you'd be familiar with 'failsafes' that consist of a reactor detonation.

Well, Xasha managed to screw up bad enough both sides knew his deal. But then the sci-fi equivalent of A Man With A Gun happened, and we will now be dealing with A Rampaging Alien.

And I can pencil in a Y name on the list. But we need info going the other way. Mainly, I want to know if Jim tried to pull off a Laurentio.

Spoiler: Episode VIIAt this rate he'll definitely hit Z before Kylo stabs him.
It can't be said often enough: If Jim approves of your line of thinking think again. Until you've got some other idea, no matter what it is."If it lives it can be killed.

Re: Darths & Droids IV: Not in Numerical Order
As a GM, never waste time asking questions like this to try and get the players to understand what you are saying. You just tell them flat out "You left that on the other ship and won't have it until you go back to get it" and get on with your limited game time.
And memnarch, those blasters did come up again. As part of the typical Jim scheme involving the pod race.

Re: Darths & Droids IV: Not in Numerical Order
You expect Pete's characters not to carry their equipment at all times? He probably took an increased carrying capacity and 15 ranks in sleight of hand so she can hide his staff in her robes.
Also silly GM. Rey's staff is only six feet long, much more manoeuvrable.
